oh man, i'm sorry guys. what i meant there was a metaphor. for those who might not be familiar with the term, a metaphor is a figure of speech where you say one thing to represent something else, to create an analogy or comparison. it's like saying the world is a stage, or time is money. you're not saying the world literally becomes a stage, or that time can be spent like cash; it's just a way to describe things differently. so, when i said "i am that redditor," i wasn't claiming to be the actual redditor behind the blink-182 post or anything like that. i was simply trying to express a strong connection or similarity between me and the original poster of that blink-182 post. i thought their post had some great info, and i tend to share detailed reviews and insights here too. it was a way to say, "hey, i feel a kinship with that redditor because we both put effort into our posts." trust me, if you found THE hovering sojourn in the wild on reddit, you'd really feel it deep down in your soul

sorry for the confusion friends!  :lol :lol :lol

The first few seasons of Parks and Recreation were awesome.

Timely for this thread and my recent reevaluating one, Alex Melton did a cover of "One More Time" in a style more approximate to Blink's earlier one.  I never could get much into Blink because I wasn't into their vocals or silly humor, but this is a fun take on the new song.

New Blink this Friday! The new singles have grown on me greatly, especially One More Time, Dance With Me and More Than You Know.

Yes, they are far from their greatest songs, but in 2023 I'm happy to have them. Each song has flashes of greatness, be it a lyric, a guitar hook, a drum beat. They of course have their faults (which generally revolves around auto tuned vocals for me) but I've been spinning them a lot.

Those record is gonna get a good few spins come Friday I'm sure. I've also been following some of their live tour stuff on reddit. I really wish I'd got tickets (and that they weren't so damn expensive!). Maybe I'll get another chance.

Anyone else pumped?

I couldn't decide which color of the album art I wanted to go with (vinyl's pink, cd's blue, cassette's green and digital's white) so I just hastily put a collage version together. I'll use all four at once!  :lol

Hire me. I'm talentless but malleable.

Apparently there's a lyric referencing "holmdel" on one of the new songs.  That's the town I grew up in  :lol It's also the town with a big amphitheater in NJ where Blink has played before so that's probably where it comes from although I don't think there's any real reference to the town other than it rhyming with the rest of the lyrics.

Awesome!

Yeah, the song with the "Holmdel" mention is "Other Side". Mark writes and sings about his bass tech, who passed away recently. Maybe they had a funny anecdote or good memories about shows there.
