Bought a new bottle of whiskey a couple of days back. Balblair '05. I love the fact that they don't say how old the whiskey is. Every year the master distiller tastes the barrels, and when they are good, they sell them. No use in letting them rest another couple of year when the taste is perfect. I like that, sometimes age only adds complexity, even when you want a clear, open taste.
Anyway: apart from the way it looks
(This is the '03, but you get the idea of the packaging)
The taste is awesome too. Very fresh, a real highland whiskey, in terms of taste.
