In... Blue rasp vodka and lemonade. Don't judge, I'm out of beer. This is all that's left.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

Came home from work and had a couple cans of IPA from Other Half. Followed that up with a bottle of Pot & Kettle, a nice oatmeal porter from Trillium.
Photobucket sucks.

Split a bottle of Trillium PM Dawn (coffee stout) with my cousin as we ate breakfast. We're now mashed in for brewing a batch of wee heavy.

Split the following with my cousin: The Bruery Souren (golden sour brewed with pinot noir grapes), Other Half Citra, and Other Half/Barrier Make it Rain. Opened a spiced sour from a European brewery that was not very good, and now I'm doing another round of the Other Half IPAs.

In, Macallen 12 (I got lured when picking up something else at the liquor store, it was on sale).

So, to Andrew's question on the 10 vs the 12...  They clearly share common DNA.  The 10 has sharper corners, and is more straightforward (and therefore maybe a little less interesting).  My preference is the 12 (I particularly like to caramel notes), though I think the 10 has its place.  And as always, take this all with a grain of salt, as my palate is still learning to understand scotch.

I tend to prefer the older scotches. Youngest Scotch I enjoy is the Glenmorangie 10. 12s and 18s are my preference.

Since finishing my second run through Other Half IPAs I've been sipping on a fresh keg of homebrewed saison.  Heading out to the movies in a few to see Triple 9, for which I will probably sneak in a third round of Other Half IPAs.

I'm always a pretty good boy in terms of my drinking when working on a draft of a new novel. I'm hoping to start my next one a week from today. To cap off the end of one novel and the start of the next, I got a flask of Captain Morgan, which I'm finishing right now.

Nice. I stumbled over there after getting bombed at Delilah's when I was out in Chicago last April.

In... bought a new scotch yesterday - Aultmore 12.  Speyside region.  First sip (last night) was a bit of a shock (just wasn't what I was expecting).  The rest of it went down VERY smooth.

"12 year old Aultmore single malt Scotch whisky, unveiled in 2014 for the Last Great Malts by Dewar's. A refreshing dram, with plenty of vanilla, honey and citrus, alongside a touch of grassiness. It's been quite a while since a distillery bottling of Aultmore has been released, so this is all rather exciting indeed."
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".
