Doesn't sound like bad planning to me.  Their audience is already bigger in those other areas, it makes sense to try to grow their audience here in the States.

Yes, but it also doesn't make sense to prevent a large proportion of their fans from hearing the band's new single. It would hardly be fair, would it?

Anyway, I'm still confident something will be set up so I'm not going to complain too much yet.

Cool.  However, DT's first singles since they have joined Roadrunner have been Constant Motion (amazing song), A Rite of Passage (not bad, but kind of forgettable) and On the Backs of Angels (really good song), so I will listen this to this with the assumption that it is more likely than nood at least a very good song

Of all the evils I was expecting my disgruntled blog rant to unleash, the word "hectoring" was... not one of them.

USAtoday region lock - I'm sure it's a good marketing spot, and if they've got that much clout and requested exclusivity it might be that the website had them in something of an arm-lock, but it seems rather arbitrary, in such a way that it puts kind of a bitter taste in my mouth. Not cool, RoadRunner. And it's a shame that my first thoughts about The Enemy Inside's premiere - which I should be stoked for - are, "Well, that kind of sucks." I don't think that's a great vibe to foster. I'm still excited... but excited with a pretty big asterisk.
