Here's looking to another possible grammy-nominated song!

That'd be great, but I'd prefer it to be a great song rather than a commercially-accessible song. Sometimes the two go hand in hand, but rarely with DT. I think their mainstream-ish songs are just average.

It would help to bring more of an audience to the band though, if they were nominated. The more awesome people we have around here, the better.
I dunno man, last time around they got nom'd for OTBOA and that song is in the less commercially accessible pile of DT songs.

I politely disagree. It feels quite a bit more commercial to me than a lot of DT's music, mainly because I feel it's a safe song that doesn't venture that far into DT's sound. It feels 'By the books'.
Ah okay, I'm just saying that it's easy for us prog fans to assume it's accessible because it's a "by the books" progressive metal song, but the whole "long intro, prechorus chorus turnover solos tempo changes" thing isn't really mainstream, but we can agree to disagree :)

Lolzeez

Believe it or not guys,I actually hacked in to the DT headquarters and stole like 5 copies of the single! It took me some time to find the room but I finally found it. I made my way through rooms full of giant crabs, pirates and stereos playing Bring Me Up Break Me Down on repeat with full force. And I finally found it.

I did a mockup of the rest of the artwork ;) :

You're fairly close. ;)

And let's not make a big deal of the use of stock images. This is a standard thing.
You need an image of the back of a guy's bald head. There's no point spending money and time setting up that one photo when the internet can provide one for that very purpose. This way your time and money stretch much further, resulting in more time to work on the idea. Whether or not you like the final image is all that matters here.

Thank you Blob, Exactly what I've been wanting to say but I didn't know how to say it!

Hey Blob, have you heard the album yet or is it too early to start working on tour videos?

Who's the first to tattoo himself like the cover art?

Yeah, but wouldn't you say, "August 5th, 2013" rather than "The 5th of August, 2013"?
This is why Americans do it this way.  It's because the symbology of the numbers match the way you say it.

The single will be released on August 5th, 2013.  So we write it 8/5/13.  That's what makes sense to us.

End of controversy.

I know I wouldn't! Or, rather, I would, and wouldn't particularly object to it, but I wouldn't give either sentence preference. It's fine with words, because there's no ambiguity. August is August, wherever you put it. 08 can be anything, so it helps to sort them.

Besides! Wouldn't you say "The 4th of July, 2013?"

Seems to me we are oceans apart on this.

No.
4th of July is a very common way of referring to the holiday, so it's not like Americans consistently use the "August 5th" format.

I see it as the 5th day of the 8th month of the 2013rd year.

Otherwise it's the 8th month of the 5th day of the 2013rd year.

Could we please drop that pointless back and forth (probably called forth and back in the US) and agree on tomorrow? That sounds much closer, doesn't it?

Probably a first! I'd rather have the exaggerated artificial OMG-hype I'm used to, at least more than a discussion on date formats.

Otherwise DT might consider postponing the album and single to 2014-05-08 (I'm an IT guy, so I'll stick with sortable UTC standards, UNIX timestamps would probably be too confusing for the information technologically challenged) which would be 9 months from now. And thus it wouldn't be close enough to even call it soon! Thanks a lot.

Greetings...

I had said (and written- there is written proof, I'm done!) that I wouldn't listen to the single and wait for the album to be released. What with all the hype around the single release date, I KNOW I won't resist! I am WEAK! Let me be strong!  In the Name of the Ariich, and of the Bosk, and of the Hef, AmeNick!
