It might just be me but I was listening to music on a usb stick in the car this morning and the first track from the Symfonia (Fields Of Avalon- sorry, can't link as I'm at work)album came on and I thought it was TEI when the riff started. Not claiming plagiarism or anything, it just confused me for a few seconds  and the opening is fairly generic- but still pretty infectious.

Surprise random Portuguese post, lol.

Pretender, what you think about this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHc_hitg3a4

It's not bad. I mean, it's not the kind of stuff I'd have on my playlist, but again, if that kind of stuff was making it on the mainstream Top 40, then I'd be fairly optimistic about pop music, instead of feeling like it really is the end of mainstream culture.

But not to get off topic, the point is that it's great to know that The Enemy Inside is getting radio play somewhere. And we still have yet to learn exactly where that is.

Just heard the enemy inside on the radio. Anyone else?

That's awesome! Where do you live?
Phoenix Arizona area. The local rock station plays pull me under regularly as well. It's 97.9 kupd.

Lucien

I just wish that Octane/Boneyard on XM would play the song. I have no clue why they aren't.

This is Octane's playlist currently:

15. SKILLET – "SICK OF IT"
14. RED LINE CHEMISTRY – "PARALYZED"
13. DEVOUR THE DAY – "GOOD MAN"
12. THREE DAYS GRACE – "MISERY LOVES MY COMPANY"
11. OTHERWISE – "DIE FOR YOU"
10. POP EVIL – "DEAL WITH THE DEVIL"
9. DEVICE – "YOU THINK YOU KNOW"
8. STONE SOUR – "TIRED"
7. THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH – "LIGHT UP THE SKY"
6. KILLSWITCH ENGAGE – "IN DUE TIME"
5. KORN – "NEVER NEVER"
4. NONPOINT – "THAT DAY"
3. VOLBEAT – "HANGMAN'S BODY COUNT"
2. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH – "LIFT ME UP"
1. AVENGED SEVENFOLD – "HAIL TO THE KING"

The Enemy Inside went against HTTK and Never Never, and WON, and still no one knows about it?

Mosh

Octane is no good. Boneyard did OTBOA a lot when it came out and Liquid Metal played Lost Not Forgotten once. I'd be surprised if either channel hasn't played TEI yet.

KUPD's been playing The Enemy Inside?   :metal  Shame on me for not listening to the radio much anymore!

Also, welcome to the forum, fellow Arizonian.

Damn, that's awesome. My local Rock station (97.7) plays the most predictable stuff you'd expect. I mean, I'd still rather listen to Nirvana and AC/DC over the crap they play on the pop station, but considering there's so much great new music coming out, it's a damn shame that they subject themselves to playing the same old shit every single day.

This. My local rock station out of Philly (93.3) plays lots of rock and some more metal-ish tracks (A7X comes to mind), but I think they don't appreciate some of the progginess that Dream Theater provides. I know that the morning talk show has used HTF to play them in and out from breaks before. I wish I'd hear TEI on there but I think it might be a bit too heavy for them.

Regularly? I've lived here 5 years, and while admittedly, I don't listen to the radio that much, I haven't heard Pull Me Under once since living here.

Jaffa

I've heard Pull Me Under on 93.3 KDKB, oddly enough, but I don't think I've heard it on KUPD.

Zook

The last time I heard Pull Me Under on the radio it was on Florida's 98 Rock when they were doing their charity event and someone requested it.

The thing is, even if they only want to play "hit" songs, it wouldn't hurt them to put on Pull Me Under every once in a while. But it's all boring typical mainstream rock that's been overplayed. But hey, that's not too surprising when the DJ is Nikki Sixx.

Whoa, the DJ on your station is Nikki Sixx? :omg:

Yea he does a night time thing. It plays in my state too, has a silly name like Sixx Sense or something.

Yeah, "Sixx Sense with Nikki Sixx!" Hahah. The station is located in St. Catherines, Ontario, so it's right at Niagara Falls, and actually reaches quite far, since I listen to it from Toronto.

Whatsername

I think the DJs on WMMR are only celebrities amongst the people who listen to the station. :lol We have the most hilarious overnight DJ, Jacky Bam Bam. I feel like he might play TEI just to mess with the listeners. I should tweet him and ask.

I've been back in Arizona since march, and have heard pull me under on kupd 3-5 times since. That's what I consider regular for dream theater, and radio play. It was always the afternoon dj playing it. The enemy inside was on full metal Jackie.
I build cars, so I hear the radio all day.

Orthogonal

Sweet, I'm in AZ, I listen to KUPD on occasion, but I typically listen to my own MP3's in the car. I've heard them play Pull Me Under numerous times over the years, that's awesome they played The Enemy Inside. I'll have to try and catch it next time, hopefully it is in their regular rotation.

Glad to know there's another Philly area person here! I certainly share your pain about radio in our area. It's terrible. I stopped listening to it a couple years ago. There's no way in hell WMMR plays Dream Theater anytime soon. But I've also heard the HTF clip one time, it totally made my day.

Oh yea, that is a pretty far signal. I get it in Colorado.

Yay Philly people! I know in my head that MMR wouldn't play Dream Theater, but I can't help but hope. Where abouts in Philly are you located? Also I love your username. :heart

im pretty sure its not the signal stretching across the country, im assuming its just a syndicated radio show that also plays on your local station. i could be wrong though :tup

Mosh

Yea that's exactly what it is. It plays on the station with the strongest signal out here.

TheGreatPretender

I thought it was kind of weird for Nikki Sixx to be living in Canada. :neverusethis:

Right now I'm about an hour west of Philly, but in two week I start college at Drexel so I'll be right in the middle of the city.

To get back on topic, I worked out to TEI yesterday. Damn that is gonna be an awesome opening song, because it got me really pumped up!
