A bit embarresed to be the guy who brings up Periphery or Tesseract but their albums have one thing that Dream Theater can learn from. The song structures. Not a single song on these albums follow the traditional structure of intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-somethingelse-chorus-outro. I would love to see that on a Dream Theater album.
