I just had a piece of rich, moist chocolate cake. Reminded me of JP.

Just got back from Roger Waters - The Wall. Still my favourite live show ever. It was even better than in 2011.

Yeah, I was done over half a day ago, and it was indeed a very good performance.  I was very impressed with the amount of craft these guys and the Octavarium orchestra put into working a show like this, given the setlist, but I'm sure to these guys, it's just another day in the office.

Overall, it was over 2.5 hours well-spent and I enjoyed it pretty well.

Milena, it's a hell of a show, buy you know very well that it's hardly 13 hours long. He must be long done by now  :lol
The extended intros to TSCO and Octavarium feel like they're 13 hours long :neverusethis:

I didn't see it in 2011 and he didn't come back to Helsinki this year, so I'm jelly! My cousin saw both of the Helsinki shows 2 years ago.

Luckily I'm going to see one of my all-time favorite bands live in a couple of days :metal

Paradise Lost. I think I'm even more pumped about this gig than the DT show in February :caffeine:

Awesome! Have fun!

I saw Panic at the Disco and Fall Out Boy last night! :caffeine: It was like being 17 all over again! Fall Out Boy blew the roof off the place. I danced so much I threw my back out. :lol

Sketchy

Visited a friend over the weekend and we shared our wierd music collection tastes with each other. He's now listening to Steven Wilson and Wu Man, and I'm blasting some Scott Walker. I think I will soon be unpopular with housemates.

Whatsername

DO IT SKETCHY. If they can't accept your musical tastes then it was never going to last anyway.

I definitely do not have a habit of putting the most challenging thing I have on when I am in a strange mood, honest...

Been listening to a lot of Solitary Shell, lately, and I'm really amazed how much the boy in the song describes me, personally-wise for the most parts.  I think I definitely have Asperger Syndrome.  I hope you guys don't think of me differently, not that you knew me a lot in the 1st place since I'm relatively new.

I believe you mean Solitary Shell, unless you're referring to a non-Dream Theater song. Also, if that made me think any differently of you that would be a negative reflection on me, not you. :)

Why would we think of you differently knowing that you have Asperger?  :)

Whoops, I don't know where I got shock from, yeah, it's Solitary Shell I was referring to.  All right, cool.

Join the club! Got diagnosed 5 years back or so. Yeah I definitely relate to that song to a somewhat disturbing degree.

I hardly ever mention it to people in the real world though. Some well-intentioned people develop some downright weird assumptions...

I recognize a few symptoms of AS in myself, so I don't think you're a weirdo :)

Why would we think of you any different now that we know you have been diagnosed Asperger? It's not that you told us that you robbed a bank or cut off somebody's arm in a fit of anger. Like Liana said, it would reflect very negatively on us should it be other then this. Don't be afraid, you'll find a lot of understanding and humanity here. Do not be afraid in the least. :)

All right, thank you very much, for these comments. I appreciate this very much and I'm glad that there's good people in here that can relate to this very well.

Whatsername

I can't relate to it personally but I have several very dear friends to me who can, so the song means a lot to me.

I'm looking for that french wiki listing all DT releases, including very rare stuff such as the test pressing of the '86 demo tape... I thought I bookmarked it, but apparently I didn't.
Anyone?

Wow, I'm just so fucking tired. Uni started again last Wednesday, and immediately we got that Moon essay assignment. I've worked pretty much the whole weekend on that. Monday a programming course started, which is fun but again a lot of work. Yesterday should have been my day of but I pretty much worked from 10.00 to 20.00 on the programming shit and some reading I needed to do for lectures today. This morning I started again finishing up some programming shit. I've got a piano lesson in about two hours but I still need to do some reading really, which I probably won't do. After that I have another lecture, after which it's my evening off, cause tomorrow it's programming from 9.00 till 13.00 and working till 19.00 after that, after which I probably will have to do some reading again for lectures and practicals on Friday from 11-17, and the weekend will probably consist of making another essay.

Yeah, it does. If I just work hard I guess I'll be fine. But I really can't cope with stress very well, so this just makes me very tired and sad all the time.

Spotify commercials... the bane of every concept album, and the thorn in the side of DT fans. Seriously, if I'm listening to Scenes From A Memory, I don't want to hear a commercial between Overture 1928 and Strange Deja Vu.

$10/month sounds like it's well worth it just for dodging that inconvenience!  :lol
