So, with the new tour upon us, I seem to be having DT nightmares now... The other day I had a dream that I went to see them live, and they were playing in some crappy high school gymnasium, and they were just very lazy with their performance. At one point, they were performing Learning To Live, and I was so psyched to hear the F#, but then I look over to side stage, and I see that JLB is too busy texting someone to do that part, and when JR realized that JLB wasn't going to sing that part, he triggered a sample of JLB's F#. And at one point, MM wasn't at his kit, and the drums were sampled as well. I was so crushed... Hahah. Me and my crazy subconscious paranoia.

I too had a crazy dream lately. They were playing TTTSTA for the billionth time, and James went over to Jordan and had him sing a little bit of it, and then he tried to have JMX sing, and JLB kept shoving the mic in his face so John threw his bass guitar and picked James up and threw him offstage 

I woke up and was like, "Well, that escalated quickly."

Btw, did we do a song ratings thread in 2012 or 2013? Last I could find was 2011 so the ADTOE songs weren't ranked yet.

I had a dream that Dream Theater were playing in Japan and people were walking out of the arena when they played On The Backs of Angels. Half of their crew even left. They couldn't perform on stage anymore so they took a hand held cam, and tried to finish their set outside the venue on a dirt road.

I believe it came from an MP behind the scenes tour before a gig (IIRC the 6D tour) it said JMX on his door, not sure why they came up with it though.

I had an exam today but it was postponed as all public building are to stay close by official decree. The river is about to burst out. It's around 10m higher than it's usual level. Police says a flood is likely before noon. I'm there ATM.

Wow, that pretty much spells disaster indeed. When I was on fieldwork in Spain last June, we stayed in a small village for some 5 days. The weather was very bad for the time of year and a river running through the village looked pretty much the same as the one near you, only it wasn't quite as high. A few days later, when we had already moved to a different part of the country for the last part of the fieldwork, we heard that they were starting to evacuate people from the village we were before because the river was flooding. We had unintentionally escaped in the nick of time.

The river Arno is one of the 3-4 major rivers of Italy. Clearly it's nowhere as big as some rivers in continental Europe, like the Rhine or even the ones in Spain and Portugal, but it's still major.

So I'm reading a page from TVTropes, just because, and I found myself stumbling upon the Greatest Hits trope and they listed DT's Greatest Hit and 21 other pretty cool songs. Here's a quote that kinda questions me.  "They also use some clever red highlighting◊ to quite literally sneak some crap past the radar as to their thoughts on the matter," referring to the album cover.  What did the red highlighting symbolize?
