No.   

Well okay, it's just not my cup of tea. And I like tea. 

Well, it's not really prog, but definitely has some prog tendencies. Very little keyboard use, but some longer songs with interesting structures that make it more than your run of the mill metal album. Definitely worth checking out.

The vocals are distracting me to be honest.

Don't know which you checked out, but my personal favorites are probably This Holy War and Destiny Calls.

I only based my opinion on three songs.  The music, like you said, is somewhat average but I can't get past the vocals.  I'll listen again when I'm not distracted by the snow ruining my day.

With the announcement of the 2014 inductees to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame today, the realisation just hit me that Dream Theater are now eligible for it. 2014 is 25 years since their debut album came out.

Considering that KISS only just made it in, and Deep Purple are yet to even make it in, I'd say don't hold your breath for a relatively recent prog band to ever make it in.

I'm pretty good thanks, how are you Marco? Really enjoying my holiday, I needed it! Aside from the Seismology paper which only has to be about 4-6 pages and which can be handed in near the end of January, I don't have any studying to do! This will be two weeks full of meeting friends, gaming, playing the piano and drums and generally just good stuff.

I've been translating (or trying to translate) a paper on religious diversity in Nordic countries my dad gave me a while ago. It's no wonder the guy who wrote it said those things are difficult to explain in Finnish - I'm glad I didn't choose the translating module at the uni I've also downloaded a bunch of Katatonia bootlegs from a site that's no longer up with the help of Wayback Machine. I'm not much of a bootleg collector like a certain someone, but I wanted to save those because there's not a whole lot of Katatonia live stuff from the 2001-2003 era on YT.
