Once again, I've found a Metropolis reference on SFAM way later than I should have :lol

1:50 in One Last Time = 5:21 in Metropolis

Over the weekend.....popped in Liquid Drum Theater.  Was once again BLOWN AWAY by this man.

Crow

Part of me is tempted to start a really silly poll thread with an obvious choice and then after a while change the poll options such that You Not Me is the song steamrolling Learning to Live or something like that.
On the other hand this is a terrible idea.
turns out signatures are fundamentally broken now so here's my passive-aggressive signature about signatures instead

Especially since I'm pretty sure every time you change the poll options the votecount gets a reset. Actually, I'm not sure about it, Hef?

I haven't touched the poll options in my thread.  That vote count is legit.

No, I just meant to say that I wasn't sure about this, and since you were the closes authority here I was just asking you  :lol

GentlemanofDread

I'd suspect fiddling if You Not Me was beating Learning To Live.

Then again, I suspect fiddling on most things..

Yeah, that must have been a pleasant surprise! :metal

The only time I used to hear DT on the radio was when there was the metal show at night, and I remember them playing UAGM, As I Am, TROAE too, and even a few solo songs from Elements of Persuasion. Good times. It was actually the first time I'd heard most of those songs at the time.

GentlemanofDread

I got Lie of all songs to be played on Local Kent Radio recently, just to be a jerk.

wasteland

I heard Another Day on the radio in 92 when I was 1 year old. You have no way to disprove me. :blob:

And your first words were when you pooped yourself and said "I THINK IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!"

In my defense, I did arrive early May...

I remember it clearly. I was out in the waiting room with your father and two older brothers, and then the doctor came through the door and announced "the third arrives!"

King Postwhore

Then the doctor held Marco upside down, slapped his ass and James then photobombed the parents holding the newborn, Marco.

I don't have any siblings, Bolb. Can you hear the sound Bolb? That's the sound of your castle of cards crumbling under the overwhelming weight of falsehood.

Shhhhhh they were necessary for the joke. Don't you dare disrespect your invented siblings!

GentlemanofDread

They played their roles beautifully and this is how you treat them?!

TheGreatPretender

So, Dream Theater has lied to me. I am visiting the United States for the first time ever right now, and no, it is NOT raining on the streets of New York city. I... I don't even know what to believe anymore. Next thing you'll be telling me that Victoria isn't real.

Sketchy

It's when they change the lyrics to that for when they're playing in other places, I found "it's raining, raining in the streets of London city" very appropriate, seeing as half the country is currently underwater.

Not yet, I live on top of a big hill, so I'm ok for the moment. I'm thinking of building one from the desk draws in the spare room, though.
