The artwork for SFAM was also kinda low-quality, so I'm not shocked. What's in the gatefold, the band members?

Got mine today, and it sounds absolutely stellar! However:

The front artwork is kind of low quality, but I can't wait to listen.

Yeah. Real missed opportunity, honestly. The front artwork doesn't look very good, and the fact that both discs are just kinda shoved in a sleave is a real turn-off. Also, no lyric booklet? I seriously hope that doesn't happen again. This disc already did cost me a LOT more than other vinyls from other bands, which came with way better packaging.

I think that that was a licensing thing.

Yeah, maybe they could figure that out next time before they charge people $35 for it.

Nothing. There is none. It's just a slipcase.

Just got mine today!  #176  :metal

I got no front sticker though (?)

"Triggered" snare, huh?  Like on Greatest Hit?

MP and JP look so thin on the back cover  ;D

SystematicThought

That sucks that the 2 LPs are just stuffed into one... Is it cramped in?

But hey, there's always the next record and I'm sure it will be great

Yamaha Man

It's a really wide sleeve that fits 2 LPs just fine.

Stupid retailer not having it.
Just ordered mine. Don't care about the packaging, don't care about the lack of sleeves, or whatnot. I just wanna hear that beautiful music.

For the outcry?

:lol

all of these

I see people talking about playing the record when they get it. Am I the only one who isn't opening it?

I opened it, but my record player's not set up.

To me, colored/clear vinyl is more special.  It's like playable art.  I have lots of colored/clear vinyl by other bands.

Maybe the next vinyl release could be clear?

The Letter M

Obviously, the Awake vinyl should be gray with moon-crater spots on it, and, if possible, clock-marks to match the moon on the album's cover.

Fiery Winds

According to the tracking info, my copy is about 50 miles away in a sort facility.  Hoping to have it by the end of the week.  :tup

Lolzeez

I may buy it from a retailer. I don't know. I still got that badass first print. So HA!

ZeppelinDT

My tracking number is still showing that it hasn't even been delivered to the post office yet.  Should I be getting worried....?

The kicker is that I live about 20 minutes away from the record store that this label is based out of... :/

Maybe they saw your address and figures they could get someone to walk it over??

-Marc.

dparrott

Yea!  Awake on grey and black splatter vinyl!

I wonder who's getting single digit numbers of I&W.

TL

Mine arrived today! #407 for anyone keeping track.

Can't wait to listen to it.

The Letter M

Who wants to post a running list of who has which # of the IAW vinyl somewhere on this thread? I'd like to see how many of the 500 went to DTF members! :tup

That's a great idea. I am glad you nominated yourself to do it.

WHITE 2LP REISSUE  :eek ??? :eek --- Where did this come from. Says its a gatefold, hand numbered March 14th release. Possible bootleg, or maybe related to licensing since in the USA pressing had a lot of restrictions

Hmm, strange indeed. According to that site, it's also from Brookvale.
It says it's a run of 1000, so together with the swirl and black vinyl versions, it would match the 3000 number that they printed when they did SFAM. Maybe it was to provide a sort of 'local' option for European fans.

I'm assuming it's the same mix and mastering job as the other vinyls (though this is entirely an assumption). A gatefold design would be nice, but the non-gatefold ones were less expensive, so it evens out.
Personally, I'd suggest waiting for some sort of official word on it before placing an order, but it's probably legit.

Shadow2222

This is a really good reissue. I love it. Great sound quality, just like their SFAM re-release.

I will be buying all future DT releases from these guys :)

I'll post my number when I am home later.

Perpetual Change

Just putting this out there... if Brookvale release this again in a month, but gatefold, I am boycotting the company and never buying anything they do again :P
