Unlegit

Nice pick with Lifting Shadows Off a Dream. Outcry is also a good song, but I'd place it a bit lower.

Jarlaxle

Can I get my name on the list, I'd like to get it another shot, especially with new material out!

Damn, these lists are taking longer and longer. 1+ month to write about 50 songs? Really?  ???

I would suggest allowing two people to go at once, to keep this party moving. Would probably better to have two different threads, or sticky this thread and let each user have their own thread, like the Top 50 Albums over in MD.

Maybe people could start doing 10 songs per post to speed things up... I think having more than one person going at once would make things a bit confusing.

Jarlaxle

The only thing that would be confusing would be trying to figure out who hasn't posted any songs for the longest amount of time.

In the Music Discussion Forum, they have a stickied thread for the Top 50 Albums Lists. They allow two people to do their list at once. Each person has their own thread. That format is very easy to keep up with.

This has already been brought up before, Destiny.  The mods have no intention of changing it.

Really? That's unfortunate. The current list maker is approaching 1 month....

The reason why we have one thread is because a lot of people had top 50 threads.

I understand that. But at this pace,  not a lot people are going to be able to post their lists for a lonnnngg time.

I do agree Bout doing 10 each post.

10 songs a post would be great! And lets say we get a new update once in two days, it wont even take a week! Perfect!

Sycsa

Also, people have months to prepare their lists before it's their turn, it's only logical it would be done before they come up. Taking 1 month+ under these circumstances is inexcusable and inconsiderate, not to mention we've seen it more than once this summer. I say if someone can't finish in a week, two tops, we move on to the next guy.

Sorry guys just been stupidly busy this past week, update coming today.

24. Hell's Kitchen

By far my favourite instrumental, it's absolutely beautiful.  JP's playing is phenomenal, MP's drum parts are wonderful and Derek's playing is gorgeous. The build up to 2:00 is unbelievable and when it hits it's pretty much orgasmic.  Love it!

23. Under a Glass Moon

What an amazing song.  I can't say enough about James, such power behind that voice.  JP's solo is of course amazing, such technicality and emotion in his fingers.  Also one of my favourite keyboard solo's from Kevin too.

22. One Last Time

Such a wonderful tune, Jordan's playing in the intro is lovely.  What a great chorus, they've really written a great one there and the harmonies sound great.  I love Myung's little slap and pop riff at 2:08, hehe.  Speaking of JM, he plays brilliantly on this song.

21. Beyond This Life

Fucking yes! Big rocking metal track with great melodies. There's some wonderful sections, some great solo's and some amazing singing.  I don't know what else to say other than it's just a great listen from start to finish.

BlobVanDam

Great picks! :tup

Nice to see appreciation for BTL, which is one of my favourites from SFAM.

Nekov

Yep, I like all of those. Hell's kitchen would be higher in my list but it's always nice to see appreciation for it

Onno

I doubt there's need for that. No arguments=no argument. FT and BTL are the best tracks on SFAM anyway.  :hat
