This sounds very, very nice - nuanced and reflective, with a lot of depth. Everything about this album so far indicates that it will be of a higher quality than any full album Dream Theater have released in a long time - since Scenes, maybe even Awake.

I'm listening to it, to the other snippets, and to OTBOA over and over. I'm starting to think this might be my favorite DT album. I mean, ever. Hopefully it won't be, cause if it will then I'll go too crazy every time they release a new album now.

Same here, roughly. It's great - my favourite band are forcefully reminding me why they are my favourite band.

Seriously though, I'm beginning to like the artwork, seems the unicyclist is embarking on a journey of epic proportions.

Couldnt have put it better. Sounds simply beautiful, and an incredibly smart and differrent way to close out the album. JR's sound seems to have a few divided, but I think it sounds amazing, and in the context of the complete song, im sure it will all blend very nicely..  :)

this sums that snippet up perfectly and now the excitment for the new album is even higher :P

I might agree.  I was really excited for the first OSI disc in 2003.  And I'm really excited for the new Redemption disc next month.  But this DT disc might take the cake.

I love Awake as much as the next nerdy science kid who got bitten by a radioactive spider, but this song had NO vibes similar to either The Silent Man or Wait for Sleep....I mean is it just the fact that it's soft and there's no drums? Cause aside from that, there's no similarities in the least.

As much as I would like it to be this decades Awake, for some reason I don't think so.  Awake has this quality that I cant put my finger on but it just stands out by itself compared to all the other albums.  There is just something about it that makes it special in a different way.  (guess my favorite DT album...duh). I would agree that it is this decades I&W.

Not really. Ayreon doesn't use Moog. Good to see it back though. If they play BTS, Imagine how much stuff JR will have...unless he just imports the moog onto his Keyboard as a patch, if its possible.
