I can't help to see the clapping guy in that gif as a heartless nazi commender clapping while prisoner are being executed.
Orsen Wells from Citizen Kane, or in that specific shop, Garey Busey. C'mon man, you living under a rock?  :D

I'm just not that interested in 40s movies. I've got the feeling that they get excessive prise (yeah, like steven wilson) because of that. That being said, tomorrow I'm watching the film. I cannot stand the humiliation of failing so hard

Haha, I'm not much a fan for old movies either. Just felt like spreading some wisdom.  :P

i thought learning to live was about HIV?

I'm not just sure that it's about AIDS, I'm HIV positive that it is.
Careful -- I don't want there to be any bad blood between the two of you.

 :rollin

Glad you guys think AIDS is funny... Disgusting.

GasparXR

Why'd they call it AIDS if it far from helps people?

They were gonna call it SCREWS but they figured that's how people got it already.

If you don't watch a lot of old movies, you probably won't think much of it and appreciate its legacy. It's a decent movie, but I didn't think it lived up to the hype of best movie ever, at least plot-wise. Get ready to notice a bunch of references that The Simpsons copied for Mr Burns.

Eh, don't worry too much.  While it's overrated, it was WAY ahead of its time when it comes to storytelling in terms of writing, visuals, sound, and editing.  I watched it and was mostly interested the whole time.

Yeah.  It's one of those things that was super innovative and influential in it's time, but now seems kind of antiquated.

Like the Beatles.

Mat JB

Awesome, just awesome.

Every time one of these spinnets ends, I have to crank the volume on my speakers to full, chasing the last waves of retreating sound.

abydos

I guess it's just me but since OTBOA and the BItS teaser I haven't heard anything that I really like. Nothing bad either but all I could think after listening them was "meh".
Hope those sound a lot better in full context of the songs/album.

storywise it's very clever, but on a level of directing and composition, its a masterpiece and an enormous cinematic influence.

back to topic:  Breaking all Illusions snippet sseems to have  UNleanring to Live similarities

The Silent Cody

Do You Guys ever listen to videos with all the snippets together? They are great, you can find them a lot on Youtube. It gives me hope that this album will be so mature and definitly will be a masterpiece. For example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGRsx74dEe0&feature=related  it is so long because of full OTBOA at the end :)

I have no reason to assume it isn't real, the quality is too exact to properly fake.

But yea, see ya.

It's gotta be real...

Sounded absolutely stunning! But like I said, I couldn't listen to whole thing...i felt dirty.

I quoted this post to tell you to probably edit your quoting of the original link. Just a suggestion before a mod does it for you.

Its real and amazing but if you say its not allowed so ...

BlobVanDam

It's not an officially released sample, so it's against the forum rules, especially when it's unreleased material, so I don't even know where you would find that snippet.

Implode

Just so everyone knows,
