Why does everbody hate Innocence faded?

How could you not, it has one of the best JLB live moments in recent DT history. NOT INTENDING TO WAAAAAAAAND.

I didn't know anyone hated it.  It has a great outro solo and some crazy vocals.

I will say that I read somewhere that somebody (accurately IMO) described the intro as sounding like the intro to an '80s family sitcom, and I haven't been able to shake that ever since.

It's middle of the road for me as far as Awake is concerned. It's neither one of the best nor one of the worst on the album. It's just there, and I like it. I listen to it when I listen to the whole album, but I never have a desire to listen to just that song by itself.

It's my favorite song on Awake because it's got that Images and Words vibe.  I think highly of Awake, so that's saying something.

To answer a question asked by a lot of people here, I've seen it criticized as very "hair metallish" in contrast to the darker vibe of Awake.  I sort of get that, but I wonder if those same people have a problem with songs like Surrounded.

I've always imagined James with a microphone and a bottle of whiskey singing the second part of this song. Still a good song.  Especially the outro.
