5. Finally Free
Ok so we enter the top 5 with such a brilliant song. SFAM is such a beautiful album, and this really is the high point of the album as it really finishes it off so well. The orchestra intro is such a great build up. The piano work at the start is so cool. James's voice on top of it is just perfect. I love how the verses are all from different points of views. The whole story is such a great story and the twist is brilliant. James's voice is brilliant the whole way through. And the highlight for me definitely is the chorus. This is probably my favourite DT chorus. Its just so good. The guitar work, the harmonising back vocals. How they change each time, first one being acoustic, second one being heavy, and the third one with the mix of the two. So epic. Couldn't have been better, oh wait then there is the outro riff. One of DT's best riffs and portnoys drumming is just incredible.

Interesting. I really like the layering the goes on throughout the song. Wouldn't make my top 25 but still good nonetheless.

Oh yeah, and especially the transposition into that nasty guitar riff.  Love it!

The only real thing that kills it for me is Victoria's horribly yellow teeth.  And Nicholas scratching his nipple.

Anybody on a vacation probably doesn't have the time or doesn't have the opportunity to spend half and hour on a computer to update a top 50 list. What I'm wondering is if he knew he was going on vacation, he should have finished his list before he left.
