Under a Glass Moon is one of DT's most underrated songs(!)
Where do you get this from?
It seems to me UAGM is one of the overall most liked songs.
Not really. It hardly ever makes it into the top 3 or 4 in the I&W survivor. Which makes it very low on the overall list.

Yeah, but that survivor list is not indicative of the true popularity of the songs once you get past the top songs from each album.  You can't tell me that the 2nd most popular songs from Octavarium or Systematic Chaos are more popular than the the 4th or 5th most popular songs from Images and Words, but because each album is given equal footing when it comes to advancing to the final round, it might look that way, but no.

If we were to do a favorite DT songs list, where everyone ranked their favorite DT songs in order, I'd bet money that Under a Glass Moon would finish in the top 25.  And maybe even the top 20.  And so would three or four other I&W songs.

BlobVanDam

I'm not sure it would be top 25, but ranking low on IaW really doesn't mean much anyway. Isn't that sort of like being the least attractive girl at the Miss Universe contest?

Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite

under a glass moon is a top 5 of all time song for me, so it clearly beats out lost not forgotten, which is an incredible song in its own right.

glass moon is one of my favorites so no contest at all

I enjoy LNF, but UAGM is the definition of perfection  :metal

Elite

UAGM is one of my favourites and bascially the song that truly got me into DT. They're very close though, but LNF can't beat UAGM for me.

LNF was slowly growing on me with every listen and now it's my third favorite on ADTOE after BAI and BITS and all those three songs are perfect. I didn't get the tickle section and instrumental section of LNF at first but now both of them makes sense and are really great. My favorite parts of the song are intro, outro and verses they are all flawless especially the second verse and intro.

Crow

There is no contest here. UAGM is an amazing song, LNF is an average song that makes me like it even less because (IMO) the song is incredibly derivative of UAGM.
turns out signatures are fundamentally broken now so here's my passive-aggressive signature about signatures instead

I voted for UAGM. While I think ADTOE is a very solid album, I just can't get into LNF...at all.

I hope you guys realize that both songs have "tickle sections." It's just that LNF's section is longer

Bongasti

I've always loved Under a Glass Moon, so it gets my vote. It has a really relaxing atmosphere, I think.

Under a glass moon, I'm sorry but Lost Not Forgotten is one of the worst DT songs ever to me. I hate it.

coffees for closers

I love both songs and really don't think they are similar at all.  I also think they need to play Lost live for all the haters to get the true appreciation of the song. The guys pushed the envelope with this one I feel. Now under a Glass Moon is untouchable as are many songs on Images. I wonder sometimes if they guys wish that album had not been their Labrie first as om many of us consider it the album by which all others are measured.

ibosmiley

UAGM definitely.

I like both, don't get me wrong, but UAGM definitely wins this comparison.

jcmistat

I truly cannot decide so I'll go with UAGM for now.
