I just made a nifty edit of this song without that Siren whaling in the desert. I sicked Kratos on that bitch.

I love that part of the song tbh.

I still haven't listened to it, though I know I should. Based on how I love A Blessing in Disguise and The Acoustic Verses, plus my love for music which feels monumental, I think I definitely should...

A Blessing in Disguise is very VERY hit or miss.

Though Lullaby in Winter is incredible.

I love the whole album. If I had to choose the highlights, it would be Crushed to Dust, Lullaby in Winter, Boy In The Attic, Two Seconds in Life, Rain... I think you get the point.

Well, Sintheros and I seem to have opposing opinions on everything, while Darkes and I seem to have opposing opinions maybe only 70% of the time, so I guess I'll try out Blessing in Disguise first  :lol

It depends on what you're looking for - A Blessing in Disguise is more in a straightforward heavy metal style (although the whole album has an incredible atmosphere, especially Two Seconds in Life which was their first song I heard), The Acoustic Verses is... prepare for a shock... acoustic and much calmer, and it's just beautiful. Both are excellent.

I know, when I listened to it again, I got chills during this section, a true masterpiece and this section DESERVES to be in there.

You are a fan and you have not heard Light of Day.  Do yourself a favour my friend and get it, and prepare to be blown away.

I must say, I don't own Blessing, I should fix that.  The acoustic session is quite excellent.  I am also a big fan of the Quiet Offspring, that is a killer rock album!!

Lullaby in Winter is the best song on that album by a mile, and then there's a lot of good tracks and a few mediocre ones.

Lullaby's also the song that sounds the most like Light of Day, Day of Darkness.

I only took out the Siren section to see if I could and to make room on my ipod. It's the only section of the song where nothing happens so I wouldn't miss it.

I think it's an acquired taste.  At first I thought it was ridiculous at first, but it has grown on me, the atmosphere of it is amazing.  I especially love how it drops into that part at around 33 minutes after the line "In this dream I conceive a perfect plan.  EPIC!!

Also, I never really got into their other albums much. Not saying their bad, they just never captured me the way LODDOD did.

I agree, LODDOD has a certain magic which will never be recreated.  Listened to it again as I was driving, pure bliss.

Note: The only reason to actually watch this is to laugh at how he says the two growled lines (And on the edge of sanity, I stumble and FALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL), and to see how awesome they make the riff behind the "Am I the only one the mirror sees" part.

anybody own this on vinyl? was considering getting the wax boxset, but it wouldn't be worth the price if they went el cheapo and just faded the song out and in at the ends and starts of the sides.
