I want to go to either the NYC or NJ show, which look to be in very different venues.  The NJ one is at the Count Basie THeater for the Arts in Red Bank, but appears to be in a sub-venue called "The Vogel".  It looks more like a ballroom or dinner show arrangement, with tables for 2 around the balcony, and I think i prefer this one.  The NYC show is a more traditional theater venue.

Last night's show in Durham was awesome.  I hope to get pics uploaded shortly.

Pre-show pics.  Stage from our seats, and then one of my and my youngest.

The Steve Morse Band

And, the Dixie Dregs

Not great, I know, but no one ever accused me of being a photographer lol

Well, you weren't there to be the band photographer, right?  2 drum kits.  I did notice 2 drummers on the bill for the tour.

I'm posting about an hour before the show.  When I parked, I walked around the side of the theater and saw Jordan get dropped off and walk to the back door.  Jordan, his driver, and I were the only people within 100 feet of the door, but I did not bother him.  If I were a bit more type A, maybe I would have said hello.

I thought it was great!  Nearly 3 hours of 70 year old dudes killing it.  At first I didn't understand the billing "with special guest Steve Morse Band".  Steve Morse's band just opened for Steve Morse's other band  :D.  I was thrilled they performed "The Bash", and I knew most of the the rest of the setlist.

Also Dave LaRue is a beast.  I dont think i know any SMB songs, but I know him from flying colors, saw him play with Petrucci and Mangini once, and he played with the Dregs on California Screamin', which was my introduction to DD.  I need to listen to more of him.

I have some pics I'll try to post later.

Now I need to listen to something very different.  Having that frenetic music in my head all day is getting to be a bit much.
