hearing come back yet?
Yeah, but I'm tired as hell.
Not only did I take my daughter to the show Saturday night, but my wife and I also led worship at our old church in Mount Airy Sunday morning as a favor to the music minister, who was out of town. When we originally agreed to do that, we didn't realize that it was the same weekend as the concert.
So, my wife (who wasn't attending the concert) drove straight to Mount Airy from Raleigh on Saturday afternoon (just over two hours driving time), got our hotel and stowed our stuff and my guitar, and went for a girls night out with some of her girlfriends. She met them at a local winery/pub around 6:30, and was there until after midnight, and she went on to the hotel.
Meanwhile, my daughter and I left Raleigh for Greensboro (an hour and twenty minute drive) for the show. Opening act goes on at 7pm, followed by a second opener. Twenty One Pilots go on at 9pm, and the show is a solid two hours, most of which I am on my feet and my daughter is completely losing her shit (think footage of fans at Beatles concerts). Due to the size of the crowd and inept crowd management, we make it to the hotel in Mount Airy around 1:15 am.
Have to get up around 5:30 am Sunday morning so everyone can shower/shave/get dressed and be at church for a 7:30 run-through of music. Worship at 8:30 am. And I am active when singing playing, I move a LOT, especially on uptempo songs.
We eventually get back home yesterday afternoon and I am completely worthless.
