everything I could send for this round is too well known and I feel bad about it

I mean, what I'm considering sending would actually be the best thing I've sent thus far in the roulette (imo) so I should send it, but too popular and/or another reason that makes me feel really bad about sending it  :lol

Just send some old school harsh noise.

Because that person would get the score you could have received, and it could be a good one. Also cockblocking players is fun. But you can't really be sure someone will send what you may be thinking about :P

Mmnnn... sending something from the three 80s albums I know, or 90s stuff?

Got a lot of stuff to send from that era, but I want to keep sending only ballads and see how far it will take me. Sending something in an hour.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Speaking only for myself, but when I was a roulette host, I wanted to get some stuff I hadn't heard of before, yes, but I also wanted people to introduce me to some of the more DTF-popular artists that I just wasn't familiar with at the time. A lot of the artists people sent me were ones I'd obviously heard of and that tons of different people could have sent me, but I appreciated someone saying "here's this song, maybe this will convince you to like the band." I actually appreciate people basically making me listen to something from an artist I had heard of but not bothered with before.

last round was my first song sent with vocals (and it was actually the complete opposite of an instrumental since it was a cappella).  wondering if I can get through the roulette just sending one or the other.

On the time-period rounds: Are live versions of songs that originally came out during the time period okay, even if the live version itself came out afterwards? (assuming no drastic changes to the song in the live version, the original song just has shit production :lol)

You mean like if you were to send Rush's Working Man from Rush in Rio even though the original came out in 1974? Hmmmm... I have to think about that.

Was this ever resolved? I've got a song that was released in 1997 but I'm contemplating sending a live version that came out in 2002. Different vocalist and all.

Edit: Okay, screw it, sent the studio version. A twelve-minutes-long ballad. I gave enough information in this post so I wouldn't be surprised if someone from the older (fogey-er?) participants in this roulette will guess it before the hangman kicks in.

Indeed it was. Also Coheed and Cambria, Pain of Salvation and Thrice.

reminder: my tastes have gotten really weird since 425's roulette ended  :lol

And indeed they have.

When I look at the list of what Parama sent in my 2015 roulette it's super tame and pretty DTF-popular compared to what Parama sends now. That said, I don't want to make a point out of what Parama was sending a year ago, because clearly his roulette philosophy has changed since then. I just wanted to make my point on why I don't think it's such a bad thing to send DTF-popular artists.

Yeah that's fine. What I do in those situations (usually you aren't the only one in this siutation) is copy it from youtube and put it into my google drive so I have them all in one place.

Sorry for being less vocal. I'm still recovering from a migraine. I had one in the middle of the night, and it came to a head about 4am on Friday morning. I was basically a pile of nothing yesterday. I'm feeling a bit better today, but I still even have a dull headache still. These things knock me on my ass. It's like a hangover times 100.

Still waiting on Hath and Scorp.
