Sounds like my girlfriend sometimes. She is away for the week so I can understand that I have things I need to do around the house but sometimes I feel like she is on a mission to try and limit my free time as much as possible :lol

Just accepted the job offer that serves as my promotion :hat Only been waiting for this to come through for a year.

Also, quick story time. The beer forum I post on does a big Secret Santa every year. This year we've got 113 participants and the hints and hauls thread (open for just over a month) has over 25K posts. The shipping deadline was Monday and the organizer, in the process last night of contacting the stragglers who hadn't shipped, discovered one of the participants has been in the hospital since suffering a massive stroke on December 1st. He also found a GoFundMe for $5,000 towards hospital bills that had been started by his son. In less than 24 hours we've had at least 8 people donate boxes of rare/vintage beer (some worth multiple hundreds of dollars) as prizes for a raffle based on donations to the GoFundMe and covered the second half of the goal for the GoFundMe. Just really made me happy to see this all unfold as an example of the kinds of great things that can happen on the internets.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
