I'm liking the cooler mornings. I still hate standard time, though. I gladly give up that extra hour of "sleep" in the Spring for that perceived extra hour of daylight. I loathe leaving work in the dark. So depressing.

So I found out over the weekend that my closest friend and roommate from college is moving clear across the country to Oregon.
He's the closest thing I have to a best friend, and his departure marks the 5th major friend in my life who has moved a distance of greater than 400 miles away. No one I've grown up with, become close friends with, or gotten to know over the majority of my life lives within 3 states of me.

Over time, though, most of them have actually moved back to North Carolina (although still not really close to here).

Man that sucks, and I definitely feel that as I've gotten older it becomes harder to make good friends like the ones you've grown up with.

My old security job. Which I hated until I dealt with the Bullshit with the county job. The great thing is I am coming in at the same pay I had before I left, but I technically don't have a supervisor title.. But I still have all my seniority.. So I get to take lead on situations when I am working... but I don't have to deal with scheduling after hours or other shit like that.

Not really. One thing that Trump / The Republicans want to do is repeal the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) which is directly where my office job came from. I literally had the job due to ObamaCare.
