I had a really long sleep last night to make up for not getting much the night before. Even for me, my sleep pattern is all over the place.

That eventually starts to wear one down. The past couple of weeks it has been bad. I didn't sleep Friday night. I slept last night for a few hours. Tonight I haven't slept at all. I should be seeing little blue men running around soon.

I know it's been discussed before, but you need to sort that out. Sleep is important. It screw me up so bad for the day if I get less than 6-7 hours sleep. I don't know how you can function.

I'm supposed to switch shifts in a couple of weeks and I'll be back on the midnight shift. That's going to make things really difficult so I'm trying to figure a way out of it.

Haha, I only was going to get that one day in. I honestly can't tell you when the next time I'll get a chance to blob in

Got off work at 1130 last night. Got home at midnight. Got to sleep at like 230 am. And 730 they start blowing up my phone to get me to come in asap.

I have to limit my hours while on Unemployment till I can get Full Time work or i get fucked. That' gonna piss them off. I am not going in today. lol

I dunno about the US but in the UK it's required by law that you go 12 hours between shifts. So if your shift ends at 2300 for example - the next shift could start no earlier than 1100

Not the case here. The only thing here is anything worked within excess of 8 hours in a designated pay day (in my company's case, that's midnight - midnight) is paid out in time and a half, and anything in excess of 12 hours is double pay. But there aren't any other restrictions.

Yeah, weekends are my only real time for blobbing (aside from maybe an hour at the end of the day after work during the week) and this weekend I have a ton of stuff going on Saturday and Sunday (and evenings most of the week) and then next weekend I'll be on a trip in Kentucky with friends, so having lots of fun but definitely not blobbing.

So there's an open house at Mrs. C's new office tomorrow after work. Office staff, politicians, heads of healthcare organizations, etc. Should be a good time. Catered event, she was responsible for purchasing the alcohol. Turns out, I'm going to be helping out with pre-mixing some drink stuff, to save effort for their bartenders, and I'll also be cutting up a bunch of citrus. Awesome.

Our neighborhood had a Fall Festival Saturday afternoon. The HOA provided fried chicken, and the different neighbors brought sides and desserts. They even had a reggae band, which was really cool, and even had a hay ride and other activities.

Afterwards, several of us brought out our acoustic guitars (and one guy brought a dobro), and we had an impromptu jam session, which was hella fun. I didn't know very many of the songs, but I played along and had fun, and my youngest daughter played along on her ukulele, even leading a couple of songs that she knew and no one else did. And my wife and I sang on the ones we did know. Good times.

I just checked out a new show called Travelers, and the first episode was very promising. I was going to start a thread, but then it turns out it's only airing in Canada, and everywhere else will get it on Netflix in December. Damn.
