Down here now. My gf's parents used to live in Cape Coral but moved to North Fort Myers. They live in a 55+ over community that is pretty nice but the drama these old people have are nuts.

All they do is get hammered and drive their golf carts around, often while drinking. Her dad set up his drum set in his garage and just spends the afternoon playing with his buddies.

It's not all good though. I'm not sure if you remember but her sister is the one who just had a baby and is going through a divorce. She moved back with my gf's parents but she has to leave since it's a 55+ over community and it looks like she'll be moving into our new house in Charlotte at the end of next month.

I like her sister but our house is going to be destroyed in no time flat, but what can you do. She is kind of stuck so you can't say no.

It's alright. If it does happen we are going to set some ground rules with her. Like she can't just sit around and do nothing all day, she has to get a job and contribute a little bit (make an effort at least) and it's not going to be forever. 6 months max. I worry that those things will be said but what if 6 months comes and goes, is my gf really going to kick out her sister and newborn? Probably not.

My wife did it for 8 months or so and almost went stir crazy lol.

With her current job she can work from home when she needs to. She does so about once every week or two.

Saturday will be 17 years since my first date with my wife, which means half my life now will have been with her, and each day after will be one day longer with her in my life than not. I cannot express how important that "milestone" is to me and how thankful I am that she is a part of my life.
