I find it a bit annoying when companies talk about their products like it's the greatest thing ever.

" Our new 2016 guitars are the greatest thing we've done. Amazing sound. Best wood you can get. No other company is doing what we're doing right now. It's a great guitar ".

Just sounds so desperate.

Another thing is when they talk other products down like " Our product is the greatest and every other product sucks and doesn't do what we do. "

You don't have to slag something else off to make yourselves look good.

It's a mechanical keyboard, which has high quality individual switches for every key, instead of just one big piece of rubber with contacts on it like the cheapo $10 keyboards you get at any store. The switches last a lot longer, feel better to type on, and are much more consistent etc. High end keyboards also have better electronics, so that it will register any number of simultaneous keypresses, instead of just beeping at you.
This keyboard is one of the better brands of mechanical keyboard, so you're also paying for rock solid construction. Other keyboards often have backlighting, media keys, etc, but I just wanted a high quality keyboard without any gimmicks.

I've taken apart keyboards before, so I know exactly what you're talking about with the rubber contacts and cheap design. Hopefully it lives up to its cost.

I hope so. My current keyboard is an old rubber dome keyboard from around 1995, and it's withstood 16 years of my abuse (plus whatever abuse it took before that), so I expect a keyboard this expensive to last at least that long.
