It's going to be in the 90s here by Friday. I don't mind the heat at all but, like you said, the humidity is too much.

We had a problem with our ac and it needed the coils replaced. Typical summer ac bill is around $110, last month $160 .

Florida will change that. I keep the AC bill down by turning it off completely before going to work. It's normally at 69 (

). When I come home it's typically around 75 degrees, turn the ac on and it's back down to 69 in about 2-3 hours.

I used to work with a guy who would never run his car AC. It would be 97 degrees out and humid in the summer; we'd pile in to go get lunch and he'd just roll all windows down. When we all bitched about how fucking hot it was, the response was always, "I buy gas to power the engine, not the AC. Besides, I like the heat."

I need to put a new set of tires on my car when I take it in for its next service, but it will take longer than a day according to the dealer, so I'm trying to figure out a time that's best to get a loaner. Which is never, really. *sigh*

It isn't the tires alone, it's the service. The service I'm up for is a 3 and a half hour service, plus the time to mount and balance the new tires, unless I leave it on a weekday, which I'll still need a loaner for, they won't be able to do it on Saturday hours.

I had to have my car fixed. The engine light came on plus it needed an inspection, so they had to fix it first before they could do the inspection. I'm picking it up after work.

True enough, but the humidity does make the heat that much more uncomfortable. But I do prefer summer to winter, by a long margin.

By temperature it doesn't seem to be that hot today, but when I was out in it earlier it felt incredibly oppressive. I don't think it's a particularly remarkable day, so it must have just been my perception of it.

I sweat profusely, ALL THE TIME. It's embarassing...when it's this hot out, unless I'm in AC, I'm almost perpetually sweating, and it sucks. But this is preferable to winter.
