It looked like Atari 2600, but I'm not too familiar with most of the Trek games. We only ever had a couple of games besides the inbuilt ones for the 2600. I probably tried this out once emulated, but I can't remember it.

I think new Top Gear is fine. I think people just really want to hate it.

For me - Clarkson was a thug and Hammond was his annoying little sidekick. So I'm glad they're gone.

But everyone else watched the show for those guys. They were most of the show's appeal. That's why people don't like Top Gear without them, and why other localized versions have failed. It's not because people "want to hate it", it's because you can't force and recapture that dynamic.
I'm sure it will be the same for the new Mythbusters. I give it one season.

I don't know what you're talking about, but that's irrelevant because you're right. Changing the dynamic that has brought familiarity to viewers in any show, for the most part, will wind up causing discouragement.

Yeah, because everyone watched Top Gear for the reviews of cars they'll never drive. For the majority of people, the presenters were part of the package, and the appeal. If people want a car show without those guys, they can watch Fifth Gear or whatever else there is. Those guys were responsible for the wider universal appeal of the show beyond just a car show. Just because YOU didn't like them, doesn't mean they're not a vital part of it. I don't even know why you'd watch it if you didn't like them.

How haven't you heard about the new Mythbusters? It was announced around April 1st, because I remember thinking it was a joke. They're auditioning for new hosts to continue the show. I'm not watching Mythbusters without (especially) Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman.

That sucks. I watch Still Untitled every week and I don't think Adam has mentioned it beyond The Science Channel or whatever re-running the old show.

Mythbusters without Adam & Jamie is not Mythbusters.

And people bitched when Tori/Grant/Kari were gone because they wanted that specific version of Mythbusters, even though it has also had different hosting configurations. It's the same thing. Generally, nobody knows or cares about any other lineup of presenters on Top Gear.

If they're just auditioning hosts to replace Jamie & Adam - they might end up with the goofball extrovert and the stoic introvert grumpy one.

Or they'll just hire two guys with no science or prop making background.

Imagine if they hired someone like Doug Walker to replace Adam.

They did specify what background they were looking for with the presenters. But they're manufacturing a dynamic, rather than the natural dynamic that Adam and Jamie happened to have and develop over time. Can you believe the show was originally just going to be Jamie? Lawdy!

And I'd have to imagine really hard, because I have no idea what a Doug Walker is.
