At the moment, listening to some Marillion and just finished messing around with GNS3 and Wireshark. What about you?

Having a few drinks, smoking, and surfing the forums.

It's a rare saturday night where I have nothing to do and the gf is away. So a nice quiet evening.

I have to get a Cisco cert by December because that's when they are due to expire. If I don't take and pass something, I'll have to take the CCENT or CCNA all over again. I could study for the CCIE Written exam in a six months, pass it, and then spend another year or so mastering everything I need to pass the lab exam.

I can only imagine the information that you would need to retain for a CCIE

Basically, you have to know just about everything for all of the protocols: BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, VLANs, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, and so on.

what's your time table for getting cert? End of next year?

I'll see how the written goes and see how I'm absorbing the material. Some people take over a year to study for the lab. If I feel that I need that much then that's what I'll give it. There's a limit to how far in advance you can schedule it. I have to look into it. Ideally though, I'd love to have everything done by the end of next year or early 2018.

I've almost finished rendering 4 shots, and I'm really happy with it all so far. Luckily it doesn't look like I'll need to re-render any of it.

G'morning all. Feeling kind of confused this morning, my 3.5 hour nap after the beer event meant I didn't go to bed until about 4 this morning, and now I'm up already. This is exactly why I don't usually nap.
