Morning peeps.  Get to spend all day in a mandatory County training and orientation.. I did one for my specific agency already...  So I'm not sure what this will entail.. I do know I get to meet a union rep and learn a bit about the union near the end of the day.

My trainer has to get on our asses (my entire class)  about that.  A lot of us would wander in early from lunch (wtf are we supposed to do with an hour?  I never even GOT a lunch before.  Let alone a whole fucking hour!)  and HR got on her about letting us work during our lunch.  Umm...  It's a classroom setting and we are trying to learn this shit.  Dont give us flak for trying to better ourselves.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. Well my boss's executive assistant might be looking for a new job after today. She was helping prepare for a huge meeting being run today by my boss and she printed/included the wrong presentation deck. She calls the office and sends over the proper slide deck...but it isn't, it's still the wrong one. Then she couldn't recall her computer password so we couldn't access her files (which should have been saved to the server in the first place). We finally got the right files from her and started to print and collate and she called back with other issues. It's a gigantic clusterfuck that she had a week to prepare for and avoid. *sigh*

EDIT: I just found out the boss lady doesn't even know about this fuckup, so she could manage to get away scot-free on this.

Just had the most interesting cab ride to the airport:

- Driver picks me up, car is completely falling apart, no meter, no license displays in the card
- Pulls over to grab some cigarettes. Gets in the car, rips the filter off and starts smoking
- Tells me about his time in Florida and how he had to leave because he couldn't get another felony charge for selling weed
- They have red light cameras here so when he sees a yellow he floors it and we blast through the light at 95 mph
- As we get closer to the airport a cop pulls out behind him and he gets worried about getting pulled over because he can't get another speeding ticket.

I ditched Firefox years ago and switched to chrome. Chrome isn't without its flaws but I still believe it's the best browser out there.
