Yeah course !!

Cost me £9 to fill up the tank today and that's good for 160-180 miles depending on how long I drive on the reserve.

A bus ticket to the beach and back ( 14 miles round trip ) is £5.

I live 30 minutes from theach Atlantic Ocean so I love riding to the coast.

I couldn't be bothered wearing my biker boots to the beach so I drove in my trainers ( sneakers ).

It's only a 7 mile journey and my top box is big but it won't fit my crash helmet, my big padded jacket and my boots and I didn't want to just carry them around with me at the beach.

My trainers fit in my backpack so I took them.

Why does walking around barefoot feel so nice

especially if the sand is hot. I love it.

When I went to FT. Lauderdale in Florida as an 18 year old I tried to was across the 4 lane road to the beach from my hotel. I stopped traffic when I was burning my feet and when to the shade from the stop sign in the middle of the road. Lol

I then ran to the beach where the sand was hotter. I landed on my ass. Lol

I livd in the UAE for 7 years. You couldn't get in the car with shorts on. Especially if it had black leather.

Sea was HOT too. It gets nice here in the summer but never HOT hot.

It was 25 degrees celsius here last week and that was gorgeous.

But it's still cold enough to sleep at night. SO it's pretty perfect

A few years ago I had a guest stay at the hotel who was maybe 50-60 years old. She went in the water at the beach and someone stole (or she lost) her flip/flops. She walked back from the beach to the hotel, in the middle of July.

She called the office and I asked if I had bandages and I asked if everything was ok, she said she got burnt. I walked to the room and her feet were bright red, swollen, and blistered. We had to call an ambulance because she couldn't walk anymore and she caused severe damage to her feet.

What I don't understand is how the hell she walked that far. From where she described she was at least a half mile away, she was also really intoxicated which maybe helped with the pain.
