I finally got into another Brand New album beside The Devil and God. Really emotional album.
And Camel's big three, one after another. Masterpieces of prog rock.

Soilwork - The Ride Majestic: Alright, I can dig this, definitely like with the s/t album song, I can stand these harsh vocals, they're not distracting. I can see this growing on me more and more eventually, really cool stuff.

The Human Abstract - Digital Veil: Well, this one on the other hand, this was way too overwhelming. I expected a fair balance between clean and harsh vocals but most of it (mainly the first half) was too heavy for my likings, will probably try it again some time, but the first half of this album felt like a chore to listen through. Antebellum is still fantastic though, easily the best one on the album, so that was a good pick.

Jolly - The Audio Guide to Happiness (Pt. 2): Keeping it at the second disc for now. I already listened to both discs once because I was so hyped after hearing Despite the Shell. This album is solid, Firewell is my favorite song, but everything is pretty good.

Jesu/Sun Kil Moon - i love Jesu (and Godflesh and Iroha) but this is really bad. The guy(s) from Sun Kil Moon ruins the record.

I can't help but have massive respect for this dude, it's a shame I had only heard Hallelujah before but this whole album is pretty great, one of those "have to be in the right mood to get the most out of it" albums though.

heavily atmospheric and ambient black metal

also it's almost 2.5 hours long???

i wouldn't say it's "unique" but as far as good atmospheric stuff goes... yeah, this does it for me

i need to relisten to their previous album and decide which one i wanna get first, tho i'm liking this a lot more than i remember liking the first one i listened to

and listening to one of these albums is a long experience  :lol

Yea I payed attention to that in particular because I saw you getting that song. Was probably my least favorite of the album, or bottom three at least. That's after one listen though.

Can't help but focus on that bass all the way through this album, I don't know who he is but that's one talented and creative bass player. Whole album is pretty groovy, but Roundabout is still my favorite after 1 listen through the album.

Megadeth - Dystopia

Halfway through it, and it´s pretty good. Forget Supercollider, this is more like The System Has Failed, Endgame or United Abominations, with the advantage that Kiko does an amazing job on the solos, way better than Broderick IMHO, which is a suprise for me, since i never cared for Angra. I knew he was a good player, but he fits really good in the band. Adler did a good job too. My only complaint it´s that the sound it´s too "clean", i would llike it a bit more rough, but it´s a minor issue, since the songs are good.

This is the first album from them that I am really pumped about (leading up) since Countdown -mostly because of anticipation over how Kiko might do.

I'm looking foward to it mostly for Kiko's involvement too.

IMHO, Kiko´s the best fit for Megadeth since Friedman.

He does really well on the tracks released so far. Very Friedman-like really with the exotic note choice. I liked Supercollider but I do prefer melodic Megadeth on the whole. Those poppy albums the fans hate? Yeah, I like em.
