4th listen update:
this is still really good but it's a lot to take in. by the last two songs i tend to lose focus a little but everything is good and i just need more listens

As far as I know the original artwork in the 80's was what I posted or this................

The artwork most of us (including me) associate with the album was the 1997 re-issue. Come to think of it that artwork doesn't look very 80's either .

Very up and down but has a couple of great songs , including my fave of theirs "The Burning Of Rome (Cry For Pompeii)"

wow this is beautiful music
though the "blackgaze" classification barely works, only like the first half of the second track has any black metal-y stuff out of the entire album so

I'm finding the black metal stuff I like mostly comes in three categories

1. folky stuff
2. space-y stuff
3. blackgaze-y stuff

this is very much the second, found this off a random youtube recommendation and i'm glad for it.
though it's like, 2/3rds ambient 1/3rd black metal at the end of the day

but i quite like it. need to find more spacey black metal stuff, aha

I love this album - New Age music gets a bad reputation just because of that silly resligious/spiritual movement. This is gorgeous stuff.

this is okay, but kind of samey and not really hitting me too hard emotionally, to be fair it took me a few listens of Midnight to like it but some of this I don't see myself warming up to much anyways

Even though you don't love it it's okay because you tried it and that's what matters most to me.

I'm like that person who is showing you my favorite movie but I'm not actually giving you a chance to watch it because every five minutes I keep saying "ooh this is a good scene"
