i think this is solid enough prog metal, though the epic really lost me... practically just treading water for a half hour. but the first four tracks are pretty cool, nothing special or that original but, solid

i mean i know this is prog metal and one listen of a prog metal album definitely won't give you a huge amount of insight but, yeah

The ambient outro track is probably my favourite on the album. The entire Marrow - The Last Vigil 5 track run is top notch.

i wish i could get into meshuggah at all, but they bore me

i really dig the vibe of this album, heavy instrumental focus but it's mostly chill stuff
and dark matter is fantastic of course

I hadn't heard these until hearing the new single (drive) which I really liked. Got an early Rush vibe from it.

For the Fogeys that love 70's era Rush, this is a find.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

this is also in the "this is fine but not really wowing me" category but
again, prog metal, disclaimer that one listen doesn't mean much

pretty great album front-to-back but none of the songs on their own are really amazing, it's just consistently strong
but it makes it hard for me to want to send any of the songs in roulettes  :lol

After my first listen I think it's an enjoyable album but it was all a bit samey well before the end for me.  There's a lot of Priest in the vocals at times (which is no bad thing) too.  March of Madness is the only song I gave top marks to and there were a couple of clunkers in the 2nd half IMO.    The song they chose to feature Udo in was a very bad choice too IMO...........painful at times.

Actually not the big piece of shit everyone makes it out to be, and the songwriting is easily superior to albums like State of Euphoria.

This album exudes the 90's (in a good way, atmospherically) - the production is immaculate, and the guitar tone is something truly special.

Not to mention, John Bush's vox are pretty damn sexy.
Condoms? Um, are they like a dream theater souvenir?  Where can I find those condoms? That'd be really nice to havr.

Gave this a spin after about half a year and I have to say, I like this way more than I used to. I still really don't like Wither, but the rest is pretty stellar.

Not sure how I stumbled upon this, but it's pretty awesome, prog-metal instrumental band with some kind of eastern features here and there.
Only complaint is that they're a little too fast/technical at times, but it's cool for the most part.

An absolutely fantastic album, one of my all time favorites.

Spinning a lot of Coldplay these days, getting ready for the new album.

I was intrigued by your description (instrumental, technical, eastern influenced) so gave them a listen. Was sounding good until the growls! How is that instrumental?
