Which album? Fear Of A Blank Planet is my favorite, but that's not a popular opinion.

Nah, Stupid Dream. I liked it a lot though!

Next you need to listen to In Absentia!

I think I am going to do so right now actually!

JOIN ME!
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Heartattack in a Layby has got to be the most beautiful song on the album. When in the right mood it can move me to almost tears :)

All the three albums that have been mentioned are in my "big 4" of PT releases along with The Sky Moves Sideways :)

Welcome! :)

I remember that intie with JM (there are so few that each one of them is memorable :D)... My sister has downloaded some DCFC songs and I heard one of them, but I can't remember anything about it except that I thought it was alright.

On a different note, me and my roommate just picked a new third roommate, pretty much perfect fit. Now gonna listen to some epic classical music while reading A Storm of Swords and then it's off to bed with me. Goodnight boys and girls!

They were tough for me as well. But when it hit me, it hit me HARD. I ALMOST wish I would have discovered PT instead of DT when I was in High School.  Almost...

:lol Oh I was referring to Death Cab. I'm finding no issues getting into PT. Funny how that works.

Welcome Adii!

And yes you should. DCFC is a fantastic band with some really lovely songs.

Thank you for the welcome, Whatsername, ? and Onno!

I've heard DCFC once and I thought they were awesome too, but I didn't pay too much attention, not until JM mentioned them on that interview ? was talking about. JM is the DT member which inspires me the most, I dunno. (I'm just so biased  :lol)

Anyway, this seems like a nice place to chill but I would have to come back tomorrow since it's late here. I'll just greet you goodnight with this:

Yesterday I was given a day off and guess what? I went to play tennis with a friend and excessive esposure to the sun ruined the rest pf the day. I had to sleep at fucking 10PM :D

At least I regained a few sleep hours.

Since my daughter was born a week ago it has been difficult to find time to listen to DT12, even sleeping is a luxury at the moment.

I'm planning to order it just to hear the TDEN riff and the continuum solo in the lullaby version, I just can't imagine how it could be.
