Spotify commercials... the bane of every concept album, and the thorn in the side of DT fans. Seriously, if I'm listening to Scenes From A Memory, I don't want to hear a commercial between Overture 1928 and Strange Deja Vu.

And you just won the award for today's greatest agreeable sentence. Every time I play Wait For Sleep I pray the god I don't believe in to spare me the commercial before Learning To Life. Sometimes it's just too much to take and I quit three seconds into the AD. I can't stand their silly jingle  :censored

Oh, sure we do. I mean, I can't talk about her but I have three iPods (one beyon its natural lifespan, one rather old that a friend of mine twice refused as a gift, and the latest about 4 years old). Still, when I'm to work in front of my PC for days softwares like Spotify and Grooveshark come in handy, as I wouldn't have to download and transfer to the iPod the music I'd like to listen to, even out of a whim.

The downside is that the free users like us have no power over the stream quality and the advertising, heavy on spotify. GS is less handy but has no ads and a bigger database.

Oh, I see. I don't know much about it, but could you use something like Amazon's Cloud Player to store your music, so you could access it anytime?

I share a premium account with my sister but if she's using it I can't. I also have no steady source of income so that $10/month is a bit scary. :\

OH MY GOODNESS IT'S THE WORST. I'll actually go back and take the slider all the way to the last couple bars of WFS just so I can hear the transition. It isn't so bad for some things (SDOIT only has 2 or 3 seamless transitions) but for others (SFAM) it's awful.

And I don't have an iPod, hence my dependence on Spotify. xD

I actually have Spotify Unlimited. Only 5 euros a month = no ads and unlimited music.

Thus I conclude Spotify hates prog, probably because the length of the songs cuts with their advertising to song ratio or something.

What's number thirty-eight?

Thirty eight is most likely the one about scottish fivers being deliberately engineered and propagated to stop people being able to get on busses in southern Britain.

Tomorrow, North Taiwan will be rainy with temperatures between 23 and 26 celcius, South Taiwan will be cloudy with highs of 33 celcius and Hong Kong will have thunderstorms.

Yes, apparently my bass now picks up Radio Taiwan International.

Instruments, amps, and speakers do weird things sometimes.

Occasionally, at our church, during our pre-service run-through, we get a weather or obituary report from a local AM station filtered through our PA system.

I would love to see a guitar receiving a radio station, really. It still seems strange, I mean, the strings should resonate with the frequency of the note, right? So for a centra A it should be around 440Hz, while radio waves don't usually go much under 50kHz. I read on wiki that ~300Hz waves are used for communication in mines and between soviet submarines, so you may want to keep an open ear for those. :D

I just found this on the news: to celebrate Nepal's Children Day 18 orphans were brought on a plane for a sky tour of Himalaya. I found this picture here to be absolutely jaw-dropping: the highest mountains in the world, white icebergs of stone in a whiter ocean of clouds. Marvelous.  :)

Well that's a fantastic human-interest story. . . unless the plane goes down, of course.

I'm pretty sure they didn't have Wi FI on board, so the planed definitely went down on the slow course to upload the pics.  :lol
