Call or text me any time. Obviously TOX is my ride so he'll be making any decisions that involve just the two of us since I also don't know Raleigh's geography worth a damn either. I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Triumverate bromance underway :hearts:



I thought I was working a shift at a TNT factory tonight cuz it was a continuous blast. Kev and Nelson (TOX and seneca respectively...yes, the three of us are on a first name basis now [it may be getting serious]) were awesome to chill with and we had the joy of seeing a fantastic setlist, enduring farts that would short out a geiger counter from someone near us for the better part of the night, and I think I may have successfully knocked some ock to the ground who kept on blindsiding those of us who had no interest in moshing.

I also weirded out a stranger by asking him if his name was "Matt" in the hopes that we could make contact with Skydivingninja but unfortunately he stood just a meager 6'7". Much love to Mason also who was with us all in spirit but tragically not in body due to work obligations. We missed you bro but Kev 'n' Nel are more than down for hitting up Thom Yum in Cary when you swing this way next month since they too like Thai grub.

Overall, a fantastic night and hopefully the start of many more awesome concert experiences with my fellow triangle troopers.

Edit: And yes, we all bought the same shirt. Pickins were slim. Wanna fight, tough guy!

I was on the left side of the stage on the ramp (we got inside around 7:45).  I was looking for Black Floyd's haircut (I hadn't seen a picture of TOX or Seneca before now) but it looks like you covered it up with a hat.  Also, I got the same shirt!

As far as the actual show goes I'd like to say I have never headbanged as hard in my life as I did when *that* part of Hessian Peel started.  That should tell you all enough about how great it was.

Sorry Matt. I actually had my hair up in a ponytail for the entire show. The stocking cap pic was after the show just to adhere to my :floydapproves: persona. I was the dude most obnoxiously headbanging about 10-15 feet from Mike (lined up dead center with him) and on the 9 o'clock spot of the mosh pit's outer edge if judging from an overhead, clock's face perspective.

Yeah, that was the album released before DHiaDW. Personally it's my favorite Nevermore album, but it took a good several years to really 'click' with me. The production on that album is very neat. :metal
