Quote from: Mosh on September 02, 2012, 12:18:07 PMI have the book, and it is split that way. But I don't really agree with the book, because it splits sections by where the vocals start. I think it is safe to say that Medicate starts at 8:45, but the book doesn't name it until the vocals come in. I'd definitely consider the synth solo the start of Full Circle, although I'm not sure what the consensus is on that here.

But Kotow is right .
I can't be the only one who doesn't memorise the names of the individual sections of epics.er... I like Jordan's extended Moog solo...
so basically fuck everything
The best part of Octavarium is the second just before it begins. Then everything goes downhill. Of course, when it ends everything is fine again, more or less - after all, you listened to it, unfortunately - but at least itīs over.

Jordan took Moore's boring, pedestrian parts and elevated them considerably to take them from barely palatable to stellar.
Medicate is awesome. Love the groovy bass. also....that god damn synth solo
I wish there was an option for "Everything but Full Circle"
I love the whole thing, to be honest - but that wasn't a poll option. I chose Medicate (Awakening), just for Myung's tasty bass and Jordan's understated/gorgeous piano.
