I know right?! Melodic death metal makes me feel chipper enough to go on a killing spree.

Morning. Yay for round 9.

ahahahaha :)

well my dear Nek, I would actually rather write about BITS or BAI.... Outcry or LNF... the list is long... but there are reasons why I picked OTBOA:

- Grammy nomination came with this song.. it adds value to my review and makes it more professional.
- my target audience is not only the DT fans like us.... it's a broader base... so I wanted to go with a more mainstream song first.... who knows maybe I can make some people say: "mmm, well this band is worth to check out"
- it has a video
- it was the single released before the full album

so there's loads to talk about besides the technicality...

also the frigging song is good man!

I uderstand all the reasons why you write about it and I think it's perfect, I just like to show my disliking for it.

Honestly, it's by no means my favorite, but I do feel it is pretty well rounded.  Not to over-the-top with the solo's or instrumental wanking, not too technical... just a nice solid tune

I actually feel that the instrumental wankery is way too much for me, not only in this song but throught the whole album.
When Ginobili gets hot, I get hot in my pants.

Is there a deadline for this round?

Option 2 is sounding good, as Im not feeling very articulate at the moment... Must get my 2nd cup of coffee!
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

Ok.
Consider that one from yesterday Song # 1 of 2.

It should win the roulette by itself in my opinion.

It's so powerful.

That song should also be a future "song of the day" on your site. You can encorporate the Killswitch ex-members new project angle, on top of the charitable foundation they're supporting.

So option 2 is open so long as it's rock and metal, right?

Two bands at once?  I'm all over it.  ;)

Nevermind, found a band not on your last FM that I actually own.  We're cool.  No emotional connection but some kick ass music.  I'll send it out tomorrow.

I also should note that when I start to type in last FM, Chrome suggest yours to me, not mine. :lol

It's kind of hard because I don't listen to "power ballads" that much.

Kari, you should take the ballad round as a semi-open one. Nem considers Jacob's Ladder a ballad....
