Fuck. Rainbow Road was something else. I would try to use the boost power to jump from a steep part of the track to another to get an insane record time or win a race. I managed to do it twice.

Wario Stadium was awesome, in fact maybe my favorite from MK64. Rainbow Road was a longer course but was more or less tediously long and the only element of suspense was whether or not you could jump the track and land to the left just after each new lap/the start of the race like James mentioned. On WS you could time a projectile to hit enemies as they were jumping that chasm and set 'em back 10 seconds while Lakitu fished 'em out and since some turns were so wide you had to remember to find the inside ASAP to make up precious time when trailing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who knew about the jump in Rainbow Road. I will remember the day when I found out the game wouldn't count it as some sort of "out of bounds" and it let you actually land on the part of the track AND let you save the time. That was amazing.

When you get to the second lap on Rainbow Road as you cross the finish line, you know how it is a steep drop? Well, if you angle it right with enough momentum, you can jump off to the left to jump onto the part of the track that a lot further from where you jumped, thereby getting way ahead of everyone on that lap.

That's a good fun jump. Don't you hate it though that when you fall off the course, it takes like 20 or 30 seconds for those guys to drop you back off? You just want to speed away and you have to sit there waiting while everyone laps you.
