Who has listened to this?

I just got it and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised and quite honestly blown away by how good it is.  I have never been into opera though I have never really had anything against it.  To me it was always something that was just used in commercials to convey a ritzy attitude.  Growing up playing music throughout school I was somewhat familiar with a lot of pieces but this is my first time truly sitting down and listening to it.

First of all, I was surprised at how well James fits into the mix.  Since his voice is not as full and booming as most opera singers I figured it was mostly a gimmick to have him in the group yet his voice perfectly complements and rounds out the music with the other more traditional opera singers.  Obviously the music has a rock twist but aside from guitars, drums, and faster performances, it still keeps most of the elements of old school opera.

I haven't heard any plans for another album but I would love to hear some more of what this group has to offer.

I actually find this album pretty funny. Sometimes I put it on to get some laughts. LaBrie singing in spanish is priceless!

I tend to agree. The songs that work aren't nearly as numerous as the ones where I go "Huh?"

This album isn't really for me, I guess. When I first heard it, I was thinking that it wasn't serious, and I'll leave it at that.

No, the album's not very good.  There are some winners, though, like Nessun Dorma and Non ti Scordar di Me.

It just doesn't work. Agreed that James' voice is for that kind of songs but singing in different language is another matter. It's not only James of course, all singers sound pretty unnatural. And I'm not even talking about guitar sound and poor production.

SeRoX is DTF's JLB!
As usual, SeRoX is correct.

I'm actually kinda speechless that James participated in that.

I think it was a good idea.

I also think it was executed very poorly.

So...I'm not a huge fan of TSR.
