Vocal effects from now on...
« on: September 17, 2013, 07:27:27 AM »
Are you as curious as I am to find out how DT will handle the vocal effects from now on? It seems that with DT12 they have increased a lot of those, with some parts being actually an echo which may not work the same way if itīs done with backing vocals. The Bigger Picture for example will sound better if they actually sample the echoed parts - the "shed your light on me" part for example.

 Any thoughts?

They'll probably end up doing something like that, although I wish they would ditch pre-recorded backing vocals altogether and do everything live. When I go to a concert I don't want it to sound exactly like on the album.

Sycsa is perhaps the most brilliant and insightful man I have ever encountered.

I don't know if they'll pre record this time around. I know I can hear JP doing backing vocals on some of the songs. I imagine they'll let him sing it live. THey might use an echo effect for AFTR. JP had a mic last tour, maybe this time he'll get to use it more. He seems to be getting more comfortable doing backing vocals.
Everything is immaterial. Do you know that reality is immaterial? This is not reality.
In what friggin' universe is a 68 minute long album "short"?

I love the vocal effects as well...Iīm just curious to find out how theyīll pull it off this time, since itīs more than just backing, thereīs more interplay between several Jamesī, echoes etc etc.

I don't think there are any more vocal effects compared to any other DT albums. Either JP will sing the parts, or they'll have a backing tape.

Or MM and JR will join in on some backups. :metal

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Hasn't JMX been doing his own back up vocals for years? I mean, you can hear it all over the studio albums.
This is as exciting as superluminal neutrinos. The sexy thing is that this actually exists :D
