Rest In Peace - Andy Fletcher Of Depeche Mode
« on: May 26, 2022, 01:39:12 PM »
“We are shocked and filled with overwhelming sadness with the untimely passing of our dear friend, family member, and bandmate Andy “Fletch” Fletcher. Fletch had a true heart of gold and was always there when you needed support, a lively conversation, a good laugh, or a cold pint. Our hearts are with his family, and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and respect their privacy in this difficult time.”

More sad news in the world of music today. :(

I'm a metal head and a prog lover, but Depeche Mode has always had a special place in my heart. Sad to hear this. Can't imagine Depeche Mode continuing without him!

Love DM.  There was a period during the late 80's early 90's where they were one of the untouchables.

RIP.

I'm still working my way through their discography but this is a huge bummer. My condolences to his family, the band and all the fans. What a shitty day.

They are one of my favorite groups, and it's mostly about Gahan's vocals and Gore's writing, so at least those are intact.  Andy for quite some time has been more involved with the business side of the band than the music side, but still, he's been with them since the beginning, so it's really unfortunate.

RIP Fletch.

I'm not really a synth pop fan, but Depeche Mode is definitely a big exception. Their material from 1983-1993 is just stellar.
Zydar is my new hero.  I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.
