Who's side did you take?

The Great Northern Empire
Ravenskill Rebel Militia

Kotowboy

The Great (White) North = Canada = James Labrie ?

An album of normal songs and an album of instrumentals !

DarkLord_Lalinc

I see no relation whatsoever between the 'radio waves' thing which sounded very sci-fi to this power-metal sounding medieval fare.

I like it.

Kotowboy

Lumiukko

I'm with the Great Northern Empire!

Funny thing: There's already a guy asking Mike Portnoy if "he is Northern Empire or Ravenskill". It's at one of his last posts at Facebook. I think he would go with rebel. haha

Quadruple album, Kotow.

3 epics, one 28 mins, other 32 and the last one 62 mins.

The rest, songs between 8-17 minutes.

The DVD will be a full play of the entire album.
It's a plan by MP, he gave them an inspiration rush, so that they would play it entirely during the DVD show. MM will collapse from exhaustion and pass away, MP will ask triumphantly to rejoin.

His petition will be denied, however, and another drummer will be picked.

I choose the third option. I'll stay neutral until both sides destroy one another and then I'll rise as the commander of humanity!

But then I'll cry as I realize I'm the last human on Earth and I have zero survival skills  :lol

Right now, just Ravenskill. But I'll probably also choose the GNE later...
Quote from: BlobVanDam on November 13, 2015, 07:37:14 PMAs a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

Ravenskill Rebel Militia, because it looked cooler. Have you tried imagining either of these two things being worked into song lyrics? Hmmmmmmmm.

Eventually join both, don't wanna miss anything. I chose the Rebel first though. It's in my blood. :xbones

I kind of hate that this will indefinitely divide the DT community but I have to say I "chose" the Great Northern Empire but really, I was born with a loyalty to the Empire so I feel like the choice was predisposed before birth.

Ravenskill Militia is simply reactive, unorganized, and took a legitimate complaint (government intrusion) and then frantically fought for power and turned into much more of a dictatorship than the Empire could ever dream of.  Thankfully, I do not think it will last much longer but if it did, you are in for a much more autocratic government than they claim to be against.

I pledge my loyalty to the Great Northern Empire!

If the debates between the two sides get too heated, the mods can move them to the P/R section. :p

Joined Ravenskill first...and then, the Empire. ;D Would be more on the side of the rebel militia though (might be a double agent like Rumby after all?).

While I agree that the artwork doesn't necessarily look too polished, I find the design interesting -

The Great Northern Empire's design has two rings which interlock, while the Ravenskill Rebel Militia's logo is in an "x" shape or a starfish shape. If you superimpose them on top of each other, they roughly form the shape of the Majesty symbol.

Man, great observation! What if our job was to reunite both sides? I'm as excited as a little kid in a toy store now!

What if these two are possible album titles, and the fans are supposed to vote for the one they should use on DT13?

Neither of them are very good album titles.

They recorded two albums. The one we chose will be released, the other one will be destroyed entirely and will never be heard of again.

DP_Gumby

I had another theory. What if they are possible song titles instead? And the one with most votes is the first single from the new album?

BlackInk

Albums or songs, these are indeed not very good titles.

The Great Northern Empire could be a decent epic though.

Lowdz

In media the empire is always the bad guy and the rebels the fighting against tyranny.

Train of Naught

I keep thinking about the reigning Earth Empire of Ba Sing Se, and the protagonists fighting against the corrupt system.

V_R11

Tempted to join both, but I represent GNE for now

This got me really excited   :metal

Looks like we need some of the glorious Fire Nation to step in and fix things, WITH VOILENCE.
