Cover My Eyes
Don't Look Past Me
Raise the Knife
Raw Dog
Speak to Me
To Live Forever
The Way it Used to Be
Eve

chaossystem

Okay.

Let's try this again.

Hopefully it'll be more fair this time.

Still missing "Where Are You Now?".

-Marc.

About to say

Where Are You Now is one of my favorite's, but Don't Look Past Me takes the cake

Edit: forgot about Raise The Knife! How foolish of me! Probably would've voted that instead

The Letter M

Also missing "Eve". And if you're going to include "Another Won", why not the other 5 Majesty Demos tracks?

And why stop there - there's also "Resurrection of Ernie", "The School Song" and "Cry For Freedom"!

Is there even room to put that many entries?

To be fair, Another Won has been immportalized as a Live Track on their official releases... Although if it's on a live album, along with Raise The Knife, would that make them album tracks?

Damn, so many technicalities!

fischermasamune

The only one I know is Raw Dog hehe.
But I'll listen to the others before casting a vote.

If we're including live tracks, then you'd also have to account for things like "Another Hand", "Bombay Vindaloo" and possibly even "Instrumedley", and maybe even jams like "The Spirit of St. Louis" and "The Oakdale Odessey".

Tough call between Raise the Knife and To Live Forever.  I went with the former, but it honestly just would depend on when you happened to ask me.

And I don't care that a few tracks ended up being left off the poll.  I wouldn't have voted for them anyway.

turns out signatures are fundamentally broken now so here's my passive-aggressive signature about signatures instead

Yeah, I would have been seriously torn between Raise the Knife and Eve if Eve had been on the thing.

The Letter M

Of these, definitely DLPM - the song that should've stayed on IAW.

I would have  WTF

Why even do the poll if you aren't going to include them all?  This is like running the poll for I&W but leaving off Another Day.

BlobVanDam

Raise The Knife by default. This is a pretty sad list of songs.

krands85

To Live Forever, though I do really love the Score version of Another Won.
Whoaaaahh, ohhh, ohhhhh. Whoaaaahh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh. Waaah, ahhh, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaowwwwww

ZKX-2099

The Way it Used to Be is being beatin by Raw Dog.

I think To Live Forever is just ok for me.  As for the second part of your statement . . .  :metal

And I voted for Raise the Knife for the same reason

adamack

Listening to "Cover My Eyes", pretty cool song. Anyone hear a resemblance to "Burden In My Hand" by Soundgarden?

Specifically the verses of "Cover My Eyes", on the acoustic version.

I'm not a biggest fan of the non-album tracks, but I absolutely love Eve. So that's my (invisible) vote.

I forgot Eve.

But it has been added.

Like I said before:

There's no way I can please everybody.

I've seen other polls where I wish there were better options, as well.

I mostly went with songs that I was familiar with, or that I knew were favorites of a lot of people on here.

But I wasn't going to make the list any longer, in part because that just causes more confusion.

Really?!?!  You're missing out on some really great tracks!  I would be very surprised if anyone listened to these and couldn't find at least one that they really like alot.

I went with Raw Dog because I do actually like to listen to it.

Sure there is.  If you post a poll titled "What is Your Favorite Non-Album Track???" you could list ALL of the non-album tracks as options.  This is not difficult, it's not like there is an infinite number of them.

So you decided to post a poll just like those?  Again, it's not like you couldn't just list all of them.

A complete list of options never causes confusion.  I don't even understand what you are talking about.

One thing I forgot.

The "average" Dream Theater album has eight tracks on it.

That's the main reason I didn't want the list of choices on THIS poll to be any longer than it was, so it would have the same number of options as what I consider to be "average."

I only included "The Way it Used to Be" because when I went on YouTube to hear "Don't Look Past Me,"  Which is a song that I know a lot of people on here love, I accidentally clicked on TWiUTB instead, and thought it sounded BETTER than DLPM, which is why I included it at the time to have an eighth song on the list.
But then people started complaining about "Eve" not being on the list, which I WOULD have included anyway, but I FORGOT about it, so when I was reminded, I added it on.
Otherwise the list would ONLY have seven or eight choices on it, instead of the nine that it now has, which is a decision that I still stand by.

How many of them ARE there? I don't even have a guess.

If you feel that way about it, then why don't YOU track down all of those songs, compile a list, and start a poll or thread of your OWN about it???

hefdaddy42

If you don't know them, why would you start a poll about them?

The Presence of Frenemies

Would have voted for Your Majesty...but there's no option for it. So Another Won, I guess.
