It should be called "Dream Theater".

...

Oh, wait...  :tup

The Letter M

"Trapped inside this Dream Theater!!!"

Actually, naming it after the band could also hold double-meaning, in that the album is a performance of a show IN a theater...the Dream Theater. FAS opens 'the show' with introduction music, and in fact, the piece was written as being the band's intro music in mind for future live shows, so the album is set up as a live show performance in a theater.

The closing Easter Egg after the climactic closing epic sort of serves as curtain call/closing music, where the players come out, do their bows, and the audience exits.

The Embracing Circle.

I think the atmosphere of that section really fits the album cover/the mood of the album

I would have called it "Don't get your hopes up."

:rollin

Bah.    Best album they made in the last 18 years...  :hefdaddy

Yes, that's a good title:
"The Best of Dream Theater"

or better still:

"Finally we proved we can make amazing songs without Kevin Moore".

[I wonder if this comment will cause a commotion ]

[Note: everything here was written tongue-in-cheek  :loser: At the same time, they are absolutely true!  :rollin]

Event Horizon

Not related to the op but a great film. Would have been a nice nod to the film if they had choosed that one as an albumtitle.

I still think the st is a great choice as albumtitle, but if not that, IT or btv

"Stories of Resentment and Disdain."

Not entirely accurate, considering the subject matter of most of the album, save like 2 songs. Also everyone would think it's a concept album

Benedettosoxfan

If they had based it on some lyrical concept contained within the album, I think it would have been "A Stare as Cold as Steel" or one of the lines in that part of The Bigger Picture. Just an educated guess.

Alright my final answer, and I think it's a darn good one, is "A Dream That's All Too Real." It just sounds awesome by itself, ties in well with the band name, and right when the Bigger Picture is hitting it's climactic ending and the album title shows up in the lyrics you're like "Oh snap son!" Just tell me that wouldn't be the bee's knees.
