I tried registering for a membership but the approval email still hasn't gone through, several hours later.

Tried registering again and it told me that email address was already in use.

How long did it take people to get the email? (Yes, I checked my spam folder)

Mere seconds. Instantly showed in gmail.

Madman Shepherd

Weird.  I found a "resend activation" email and still have received nothing.

I've been to the Redmond theater, it's gorgeous; not terribly far.

Will have to see...   :justjen

You're in the Seattle area too? Nice!

Any Seattle-ites booked their seats yet?

Wow, just saw that you can eat and drink there. I think I'll have to go.

sueño

no - I'm a couple of states away but it might be worth a trip.  :)

I think I'm down for this. Been too busy to check schedule and buy ticket though.
Maybe the grass is greener on the other side because you're not over there fucking it up.

Okay, this will also be playing at select Showcase Cinemas located throughout the NE of the USA (New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, etc.).

Scouring the internet  ;)

https://www.showcasecinemas.com/theatres

Check the individual theater. So far, the Cincinnati, Ohio; Dedham, MA; Foxboro, MA; Holtsville, NY, and possibly all of the "Cinema de Lux" ones have confirmed it.

Check the page listings, and make sure you click to view September on the events.

Foxboro is 15 minutes away and the 22nd is my birthday. This might work!
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Shadow2222

This is a big deal to me lol, so I have emails out to Specticast and most of the major theater chains. I am currently exchanging emails with Cinemark, while Regal has confirmed that as of now, they will NOT be showing it at all.

A couple of states?! Your definition of "not terribly far" is different than mine.  :lol

Sweet. I'm likely going to the Sunday show, seeing as that will be an easier day to get off from work.

Airplanes cut the concept of distance enormously.  ;)  It's just a thought anyways.  I highly doubt I'd be able to see Dream Theater any other way aside from a DVD.

Holtsville NY on Sept. 23!!!   Five mins from my house!  SWEEEEET!

Didn't catch there was a Sunday show. Mrs. Cool Chris plays soccer on Sundays so will need to make sure that doesn't conflict.

ytserush

I didn't know there was a town called Millbury in Massachusetts. That is just too funny.

While I'll easily drive an hour to see the band. I don't know about a theater, especially if it costs more than the DVD.

Mebert78

Just bought my ticket!  Front row!  Just kidding, but I did buy my ticket for the Holstville, NY, screening.  :metal

DTFan0789

Here's hoping there's a screening in Philly or NE PA for me.  :-\

Madman Shepherd

Boom!

Finally got that ipic junk to work and bought VIP seats in Bolingbrook for $18.50

Considering people will spend 13 bucks on a crappy 3d pseudo imax movie just because it has hype, I guess I can justify spending the money....and driving 2 and 1/2 hours to see it.

Mebert78

Is it socially acceptable to sing along and pump your first at screenings like this?
An unofficial online community for fans of keyboardist Kevin Moore:

lonestar

Of course.

Working both days, and really can't ask for one off because of an onslaught of concerts at that time. Doesn't seem to be a SF showing anyways.

Mebert78

Petrucci lives on Long Island, in a town not far from me.  Would be cool if he attended the screening.  I can watch him play air guitar to himself.

Yes, but bo it shouting "KVENI MOORE DRUM GOD!" during the instrumental breaks. Just for the looks on the others' faces  :rollin

SystematicThought

I can see someone being escorted out of the theatre for that  :lol

Hahaha that would be amazing. But seriously that's a good question, actually...it would be really strange if everyone is just sitting in silence watching our rock gods be amazing.

Does anyone know why the website won't let me select a showtime? ??? I can select the Sunday date (for the Pasadena theater) but then it says "special engagement - no passes allowed" and there's no purchase button anywhere or anything like that.

The Boomr

 Just figured it out. Wow that was stupid.

EDIT: What??! Tickets are $29 for non-members at that theater!! How is that reasonable? Why is the only available seating option "premium plus"? What if I don't want a fancy in-cinema food and beverage service? I'll bet you still have to pay for food other than the popcorn, anyway.

Membership is free, someone said? And that lowers the price? How does this company make sense....

There was a thread or a post for a cinema in (if i remember well) in Amsterdam, and i found 2 different cinemas showing it in Austria, but nothing for Germany :'( These cinemas in Austria had a lot of info on the upcoming premieres unlike the cinemas in Germany, so i still have hope.

Fuck :sadpanda:

Might be that in some jurisdictions you gotta be a membership club to offer booze in a theater and so they made it company-wide. And then just so they could compete, they made the "membership" rate be slightly above the local theaters (since at least around here, serving booze in there means kids not allowed which can be worth the extra...)

YouMakeMeSick

There will be a screening 10 minutes from my house... But I'm in Bogotá, Colombia working. Any info on a screening in Colombia?

aprilethereal

"In theaters worldwide" :caffeine:

I want to know the locations in Germany already!

wasteland

Whee! Hopefullly is really capillar and more than a one-off performance in time!
