A theater not far from me in Saucon Valley played Rush's Beyond the Lighting Stage and Time Machine tour when they had 1 night releases, so I'll hope the same for this.

Madman Shepherd

I'm gonna be pretty bummed if it ends up playing in my moderate sized Iowa town after I just bought tickets to the Chicago burbs for 17 bucks each.

Nothing in DT's home state of New York, which is also the biggest city in the country?  Maybe it's too early.  There's gotta be a NY screening.

Yeah WTF! Very strange that they don't have an NY location.

I thought that was odd too! I thought there might even be a Boston screening, considering everyone at Berklee would go to see it.

How do we know that the iPic theaters are the only places going to play the concert? From what I gathered from the official website liveatlunapark, it looks like it could be in many more theaters than just those.

Lucidity

Also, just wondering, have DT every done something like this before?

We already know that at least a couple other chains and one-offs will be playing it. Check my previous posts in this thread.

Depending on which tier you pick it doesn't show the reservations for the others seats.

Doing the Sunday show.

https://www.specticast.com/event_generic.jsp?xml=/xml/event/dream_theater.xml - is the company that runs these.

I'll keep my eye out for local showtimes (I work for a company that has ALL movie and event showtimes for every movie theater in the world essentially). I also have some friends high up at national theater chains, wonder if I can ask them to consider playing this in NY (near me). Time to send some emails :D

Wish the affiliated Specticast theaters in the SLC area would cover this event. DT sells out every time they stop here. Time to send requests UT fans. A road trip to AZ is out of the question unfortunately.

Update on my Croatian mission to bring the concert into a cinema: one of the bigger cinemas in town wrote me back and said they don't plan to get the film and "don't have any information other theatres plan it either".... well, think I'm gonna ask smaller and independent ones to show it  :coolio

Grisel

I went to both those shows down here in Buenos Aires, Argentina... I can't wait to live them again with the DVD!!

Enjoy folks! Great show!!!

Not to be the killjoy, but it wouldn't be unheard of for it not to happen, since all the music events I've known of were put on by Fathom Events and not specticast. In fact, I've worked in several cinemas for multiple chains and never heard of specticast.

Whatsername

So nothing in the southern PA/NJ area? Guess it was too much to hope for.

Well, and Itchy tweeted that it is posted at Dot Net, so...

Strange that this link doesn't show the ipic theaters that are playing the movie. It indicates that the closest theater to me playing the event is in Oregon (when it would really take me 15-20 minutes even walking to get to the nearest place).

Dammit, nothing near Connecticut...

Totally in CT. I'm going to the Torrington theaters, as they are only about 25 minutes from me.

Boca Raton is a bit too far for me just to see this.

5 hour drive for me. I would've gone if there was a Friday or Saturday showing unfortunately it's Tuesday and Sunday. Thats a huge inconvenience.

Bosk, it would be nice if you could post the info (links) for the showings in the sticker for Live at Luna Park, just for us to find it faster :)

So the only seats they're selling are "Premium Plus." Anyone know what that means? Is that different than a seat in a regular movie theater?

The premium plus are the ones where you can get a waiter to come and take food/drink orders at your seat throughout the movie. The regular (premium) seats are the same leather seats but if you had food/drink orders you had to make them at the bar and bring the stuff with you.
