I'm pretty amazed they have Outcry on that.

It has 256 DT songs....

:O That's one bit too many!

Yeah, no one is ever going to play I Walk Beside You.

Could I have some more info on this machine? I don't understand how having people pay $1 for songs they probably won't recognize is a profitable business.

Pols Voice

Since I never posted in here...Outcry's great.

It's a jukebox that is connected to the internet. The library has millions of songs.

Lucidity

Oh... That makes a lot more sense than.

I don't get the hate for New Millennium or BMUBMD either. :dunno:
And...... You not me and Prophet's of War.....  4 really good songs IMHO :)

As far as Outcry, I love it!  I love the effects JR does in the beggining, the Machine gun....Radio static...and passing helo, they just set the scene for the song so well for me.

Outcry is a good song.  Don't see why anyone would hate it.  But, then again, this is DTF.  All kinds of hate around here.

If you notice, most people in this thread like Outcry.

Rattlehead

I don't think I've ever seen anyone say that they actually "hate" outcry.

It's incredibly underwhelming, especially since it's wedged between the BitS and BAI, which are infinitely superior.

What happened to FFH for you?

In my mind, it's still a lead-in to BAI. I just kind of count them as a one-two punch.

Pols Voice

Well, I prefer Outcry to Bridges in the Sky.

I never got the association between FFH and BAI... I don't really see any similarities whatsoever.

I have not posted in DTF for a long time, but I felt I had to say something here:

Outcry suffers from what I call "Endless Sacrifice" syndrome: A song in which the instrumental section outshines the main section of the song and does not fit its overall atmosphere at all.

To add to that, the choir patch JR uses in the intro is cheesy, the lyrics in the chorus are very cliché and LaBrie's vocals are mostly forgettable (except for "Locked in a kingdom of fear, as our children die!". The fact that it comes after BITS, my favourite song on the album does not help my personal opinion towards it as well.

Of course, this is all in my opinion and it's subjective as well, but the OP wanted an answer so I had to put in my 2 cents.

BAI directly quotes FFH musically.

Could you be more specific?

Relisten to the end of BAI - the musical theme of FFH is carried over and resolved positively at the end of BAI.
Look at all us freaks cluttering your city streets
Still scalping their ticket-less applause
Spun monkeys on the railroad track, take me to the caine field; I walk along pick my spiderbite
Basically Kyoko Kirigiri
